ended up closing the above position out at 6c or $6 per contract representing a loss of 3c or $3 per contract, direction was right but had to much to make up to see a healthy profit with limited time on my option remaining but TWTR more than compensated

I myself did little today, sold EBAY $52.50 4/11 puts against 4/19 long puts at the same strike, for $0.18, just patching up another losing trade (we hope). Screentime limited. May look for stronger tech stocks to bounce next week, the weak to keep sliding. Like NFLX, down $120 in the last month, finished at $337 today, may be on its way to ~$200 by summer....Jun $215 puts only $1.70.

Decimation in the tech names may weed out the bubblicious - who to remain - AAPL?

Thanks TF - Should be a fairly safe positions with very low delta at the moment. I also expect to see some more pullback in the market next week and higher volatility which would be nice for option selling. I don't expect the 30% pullback as outlined in one of the CNBC reports but a nice 5-10% pullpack would be sufficient.

Good idea to hunt down some tech stocks that are likely to bounce given the NQ slide yesterday and probably continue next week. Maybe couple the bounce back with companies that are generally good performers during the earning season.......

I never noticed the $xx.63 strikes in the Q's. Will be looking to sell these puts...

Given the magnitude of the sell-off in US equities and the appreciation of the yen, the Nikkei and other regional markets are at risk of steep losses at the start of the week. More interesting will be the European bourses reaction. On one hand, the risk of QE and lower interest rates would seem to encourage equity market flows.
On the other hand, consider the performances just since mid-March: the Italian and Spanish markets are up about 10.5%. The German DAX is up 9% and the French CAC up 7.5%. Spain and Italy's markets are above the top of their Bollinger Bands, (two standard deviations above the 20-day moving average). France and Germany are flirting the top of their bands. Given that the UK's FTSE has not fully participated in the latest leg up, gaining less than half of the CAC's rise, it may hold up better, if a correction sets in. And it looks to us as if the risks of such a correction have increased. It is not uncommon, it seems, to see reversals at the start of new quarters or as the US earnings season begins.

this slump is not gonna stop any time soon, and the best trade I can see is TLT.

I'm long TLT $110.50 CALLS Friday exp for 7c or $7 per contract.

TLT is trading at $109.26

Gold looks to be struggling to move above its daily high so is GDX aas there is lots of overhead resistance in the form of 50 and 200 day

so I have taken out long puts for fridays exp

long GDX $23.50 puts for 11c or $11 per contract.

GDX price is now standing at $24.16

sold some 1760 and 1780 ES put weeklies.

sold at 8 and 11 ES points respectively (3x notional on the 1760s)

word I hear is Q1 earnings are gonna suck due to sucky winter weather in USA and so a sucking southbound sound may ensue.

I want to see that TLT break out of the $106-$110 band it's been in since the year began, gonna be tough not to look for cheap puts if it gets to $111...

I will be a bargain hunter in the tech names, but not in a rush. Screentime limited, have to put on trades at the open if I do at all, which I don't usually like to do. Wednesday have a day off & need to put on some trades....

My target for TLT is somewhere around 117.50 FWIW (not much TBH).

Hasn't been there since 5/20/13; ^TNX was just breaking 2.00% then, S&P was at 1,665.

I've rolled down to a lower strike price on TLT from $110.50 or $109.50, I'M LONG $109.50 calls now for 20c or $20 per contract

Feels to me like stocks want to go up; maybe we are about to experience yet another "last hurrah" to take us into and through earnings season.
But then my predictive abilities are about as useful as a chocolate teapot, WTFDIK.

JPM have there earnings report out on Friday 11 April, I've taken a strangle trade but 2 weeks out that expires 25 April so it has time to move because the options are cheap

long $60.00 call for 51c or $51 per leg and long $57.50 put for 50c $50 per leg, total cost of $1.01 or $101 per strangle position

JPM is trading at $58.87 currently
