In mql4 how do you set it so it only allows one open position?

Currently I have an indicator based on moving average crosses, but it opens a position on every single candle that's above the EMA (haha). How do I make it so that it only opens a position on the cross?
Any advice I provide should not be considered a financial recommendation.

check for a crossover

put code with if condition to change flag say flag=false
after main ordersend(),then immediately put flag= true;
set condition as flag&&(your buy or sell cndition)
with OrdersTotal() to help to judge
