Hi 60M

You say you look for a new weekly High (or Low) and then trade the break of the following candle that closes back with the trend.
If you miss the weekly High do you leave that pair or do you consider subsequent re-tracements (which don't reach the High/Low of the week ?

This is a great strategy, even for me who works fulltime (in UK).

thanks Stan

Hi Stan, nice post

Yes I will have a go on a retrace if I miss the high - In fact I use a bit of flexibility on all the rules.

It's really important that we see the rules as giving structure and discipline and not the reason we will make profit.

The market decides if you profit or not, we are at it's mercy. We just put ourselves in good locations and wait.... we are managing money and positions and not predicting what will happen..

Can you see the power of finding the high and low of the week and then waiting?

Something is unique about the weekly timeframe, something happens on weekly that only happens on weekly.

here it is in action - it really is just a waiting game. So this may come to nothing, it may drop for another 2 weeks. If it does it will generate around 2-2500 pips in less than 4 weeks, only some sort of trading genius will be able to replicate that day trading with out increasing their risk dramatically.

Trade the truth about markets and be patient, it really is very simple.

most traders are losing, what are they doing? if you're doing something similar you will lose... fact.

Can you do this? it's not skillful, anyone can do it, you just need to decide it is what you're going to do.

ok, I said no teaching or preaching in my journal, so that is it....

Everything is there anyway, resist your temptation to add complexity, the truth is all there in a few posts.

Please no more questions on the thread, you can pm me with questions.

You can of course post charts....

60mm,

I love that graphic! Really shows what's important here. How can we get a chart like that?

Thx,

Do what the banks and the funds do - participate in the long term trends.

Avoid any of the day trading ideas on this forum - it's certain doom with no quantifiable edge at all.

Continue to have a life, trade the higher TF's then walk away, let the market decide....

Work on your psychology, think about the mistakes every trader makes and ask yourself why and how you can change (look up Denise Shull's videos on youtube).

if most retail traders are losing, look at how most traders approach the market and do the opposite.

My goal is to line the green channel (12200 Pips).
