how many pairs do you guys trade? Same pairs every day? Or do you use a strength meter or something similar to decide on what to focus on. I currently trade 12 pairs on 4 screens. I sometimes think I should cut back to 8 or maybe even 4. One good thing about it is that it forces me to act or not act very quickly.

I just trade 2.EJ and GU

4 different currencies to back in those pairs and Im happy at that.Both have European open sides to them so should see a move in the FO and LO trade hour

Try put big bold LWMA 40 on top of your rainbow. And put 21 for Entry CCI at Doublewoody indi. Hope it will helps ya.

I understand. I do this full time. I try to trade the strongest vs the weakest. So farG /N has been the best tonight. At most I try to only have have two trades on at a time. This is a recent change for me. Will give it a month, then may need a vacation . I use to only trade two pairs GY and EA .

If you are monitoring 12 contracts, many of these will be crosses and thus have similar movements to their base pairs.

As this thread is mainly about the European Session, the main base pairs are EurUsd, GbpUsd, UsdChf, UsdJpy and possibly AudUsd and their assosciated crosses - EurJpy, GbpJpy EurAud etc - these are the most active majors during this session.

Like Rooi, I restrict my trading mainly to GbpUsd and EurJpy and for some excitement, occasionally UsdTry...

The PA formation will have many names but I learnt it as a failure to return pattern meaning it tested the High of the day and tried to test it again but could not even get back up to test it never mind break it so the path of least resistance it down

i do not trade chf, as very highly correlated to EUR. I have one screen for base pairs, EU and GU, one for yen and crosses, one for commodities vs USD. The other I use for any crosses that are moving strongly via a strength meter. It is amazing how many times the synthetic is moving the most.....I.e EN etc. When the arrow alert triggers, I look at the appropriate screen and if the signal is valid I fire away.

I agree with you fully it is a very good way being thorough and working with the highest probability if that is how your mind eliminates your options and builds a good case for entry.I take my hat off to you for that but that is not my strong suite.I just play the technicals on the opens with some levels with good R:R and a decent accuracy level.

Great that you can make monitoring 12 contracts work - and obviously the pop-up arrow alerts must help a lot ......I think its above my pay grade....and agreed, the maths of a synthetic usually gives the larger move, which it usually needs to compensate for its spread....

Edit: if I remember correctly a programer called Gadi did some good work on a currency strength comparison indicator...

HAHAAHAHAHAH ......that is the exact currency meter I use. I have it on 4 time frames, 5 min, 15, 1 hr, 4 hr. Absolutely the alarms help. It is rare more than two go off at the same minute. The I benefit of many pairs, is if I. Have any doubt when I look at it, I don't take the trade. Another OPP is not to far away. Clean and mean.

I must be very stupid Aahmad, but for the life of me I can not see why you took that trade, and if that news spike did not happen (nobody could have predicted that), you would have lost 76 pips without a stop loss.

Please enlighten me

This is Demo testing. First priority is to find that if that system gives you valid signals up to 90%. I will post all signals on this forum and then traders can decide that how much should me SL.

For you, mostly i donot have SL on my actual trades.

Everyone has its own thinking. I think i am producing 100% results each day from last 7 weeks.
