Most probably time to short US mkt again. Keep suckering the longs in then hammering them. Could mean good time to short EJ/GJ/AJ as well.

Correction over and going to new highs? Or continuation of consolidation/start of a bigger correction. I'm betting on the ladder to start right about now..

I think that it is not necessarily the fault of FF-management, that FF is going down a bit. Regardless if you have a vouch system or the subscription system (both are bad out of my view; the vouch system was better, because it had a threshold for vouching: you need to have three vouches in order to vouch), the content does not necessarily get better.

With todays system users gain credentials, when they impose to have the holy grail. Look at ther NV Traders thread and the followers he gained for literally giving nothing of important information. There are many similar cases.

When most oif us "oldtimers" arrived 4-6 years ago, the environment was an other. Or our thinking. We really tried hard to find a good way to trade. We tried hard to understand the moves. We tried hard to make our systems work. And we tried hard to share our knowledge and educate.

Nowadays it seems to be more en vogue to throw around numbers, trade as many pairs as possible (curious: most traders do not even manage to trade one pair successfully), and stay as vague as possible for the direction or the logic behind the numbers given.

And nowadays there seem only be so little people really interested in learning the stuff - we once again have arrived the "get rich quick scheme", sadly.......

During the last years I ever had some followers trying to learn Elliott wave, trying to learn Murrey Math, trying to learn the logic behind the levels I called etc. I had exchanges of thousands of emails with this traders. But nowadays only very few people are interested.

But maybe it is us, the oldtimers, who brought/bring FF down to its "knees", not more willing to share and care so generously as we did in the past, because we all learned, that it is very time consuming. Time, which can be better allocated for trading (gains), family, friends or whatsoever. And on the other hand: many of us contributors have made the experience, that FF-management did not support us, when we needed their help. Even causing some of us leaving this place for some time.

Maybe, at some point in time, a new generation of fresh participants will arrive with the heart at the right place. We will see........

I too will significantly reduce my time here in FF (if not done already). The simple question for me is: what do I gain posting here?

It is good said, Markus, but sadly.

You have said the thing I can see the every single day. It is the worldwide tendency, I now think. People do not like to learn the new, it is mostly hard for them. They prefer "not doing" anything, because "doing" is responsibility for itself, for the society - it is much more difficult than "simply being".

Sad to see that the only people one could learn from withdraw themselves from the forum. But given the fact that most threads are mostly spam, I can understand this decision. Then again, help is not always appreciated. When I was new to the forum and trading a few months ago it became clear to me very quickly that the EUR/USD thread etc. was not for me. It is only a personal beef there who is the best and how bad the other traders are and blablabla ... If you ask for their analysis, they only post charts with 5000 Indicators looking like a modern piece of art or pull out some dubious argument like: "Soros is selling pound".

The Elliot waves are 11 patterns I need to study more. It is easy to see everything in theory, but applying them to a morphing chart is an art. Fibonacci is another difficult thing. If you draw the false fibs, it will bring nothing. Schick said it might even be related to a broker: If his charts are wrong, the whole analysis is useless. So there is much to figure out these days for starters in an increasing mud of scammers around the market. For me, threads like this are my last refuge as a rookie I think if it was not for this thread, I would not visit the site too often. You cannot even ask a question around the other threads without fighting through 10 pages of trolling and spamming. Wonder why good traders would waste their time like that ...

euro made a test of the support (1.373x), but a bit too fast for me to catch it though, maybe I'll get a chance tomorrow..

cable 1.665x worked fine until yellen (that see-you-next-tuesday) opened here mouth.. anyway R turns to S as they say, might look for some clues tomorrow..

dax I'm waiting for some clues atm, can't see anything now..

but I think the real Q is, what do you expect to gain from posting?

I can tell you what I expect to gain, I see this (FF) as a place to share some off my methods, my thinking, in the return of getting a network of traders which I find interesting in my daily life as a trader.. the day it stops being interesting, I'll prolly withdrew myself to be honest..

anyway, enough from me..

that is right, too. Trading is often enough a boring waiting business. Then it is nice to exchange theories, levels, trading ideas.

The EURUSD thread is like a mud place. You can not enter and at the same time avoid the mud at the galoshs :-)

There are much more far better threads in FF, like this one, but the good ones are very rare or already dead.

Hi Hickson,

Elliott Wave Targets works very well and my view is every trader should watch for EW-Targets, EW-Pattern Formations and you should become a another view of trading.

As you can see now on DAX. Dax is in Wave 3 atm. with W-X-Y-XX-Z correction. DAX is going to close GAP @ 9647 and we have a 100% Target @ 9647 from WXY (subwave) Pattern Formation. We can go here short without problems and you can move your SL after to BE. We will see here a nice reaction. But the Risk Reward is very good if you trade this. Target of Z is = 8908 (ca. 738 Pips). May be your SL should be 10-20 Pips.

But the only one question is to the forexfactory community, why don't post people analyses like this. It should not be on Elliott Wave basis may be a another trading system and you can say my target is 9700 probably. The discussion later has a basis to discuss serious about trading and not jabbering.

If anyone is going short here, and everyone can follow you and calculate his own risk for this trade. You have a clear entry point and a target.

you wrote last week that the Elliott Wave Thread/Trader is going to die out. That is true!!! I noticed that.

We have some deppen/trottel like Ud1nh0 they are going to spam this Threads with nonsense and his own Wave trading rules. But what i don't understand why did you discuss with Vollpfosten. My only way is only to click to ignore for members like Ud1nh0.

Good morning!

EURUSD Prediction for this week. My view is correction from 3967 to the downside is a correction and don't a impuls for deeper levels. The correction down from 3967 is for me a A-B-C correction with 100% Target @ 3643 if irregular Flat with target @ 138.2% = 1.35204 and 35204 is the maximal downmove for this correction down until now. And a ABC correction is a ONE correction of more corrections. Sideways for the next weeks.....

On smaler timeframe (subwaves) i see 2 ways (targets on the 2 charts)

1. Ending diagonal
2. WXYXZ correction down

both corrections are going to max 1.3600 as a downward move and should not go higher than 1.38323 the next 2 days. If wee go higher as 1.38323 and close above you can forgot this 2 scenarios. The last leg of correction from X to Z should be strong downmove to 1.36xx. Do not be afraid to go long here for target minimum 1.3880 - 1.3900 area may be as a swing trade.

My own plan is to go long @ 3643/1/9 with min. target 1.3880 and my final target is 1.4066 or 1.4129
