But I guess that's when you're starting from zero. I think that investing in stocks or general interest in finance, etc. might count as well.

10,000 hrs, that's just the old number I heard when I started. Fits with the theory from 'Outliers'. I don't know if it's true, but I have a feeling that it is, at least for me. It doesn't mean you can make it earlier, it doesn't mean you cannot trade at all till you reach the magic threshold.

What would you say, how long did it take you to get where you are now?

EU just came to life... I'm watching what happens at 3831. Well, nevermind...
EA: didn't have the platform running at market open, so missed my 1st t/p @5148, might get there soon...
Chf: same old
UJ: missed the long, have to be patient now, I guess, maybe no trade this week.
Dax: what can I say, still eying 9415 for a possible, additional short, otherwise: let it run to 8000

AudNzd: shifted a po long to 1.0595, opened a new one at 1.0562, in my opinion price will come back there before conitnuation.

nice trades Bear/Larry..

got nothing interesting today, sun is shining and markets are going nowhere - pretty simple setup..

anyway, dax 936x acting as a pretty good R atm, would like to see a break to be honest, but somehow the market seems to disagree.. waiting to see what happens..

Had I known, how much it'd overshoot, I could have been even more patient... Well, now my second t/p is just around the corner (1.5064), so I can't long, but your scalp is probably a very good idea. Let's see after London close.
I realized a few hours ago that a small long GU was filled tonight at 6467, moved s/l to be in the meantime, there are a bunch of small ones lower, so I'll wait.

Congrats, good trades! I have to recover from FOMC and torn acl now. Looks like trading 0,01 or 0,02 lot for the next months will be indicated Maybe not so bad, if I had not lost all my wins and busted 600 €, I would still make the same mistakes. If I become more consistent, I might add some of my salary to a new account at a new broker, but not before seeing an improvement in my trading over the next 3 months. Tried a small long in GBP/USD, SL 1,6459. Don't know if I can post so much for the upcoming week since I also have to work again - my hope is that it will improve my discipline turning to the daily chart. Happy Trading!

well, maybe this was just what bears waited for.. we're re-testing the support which got hammered during FOMC, so maybe just a pullback of the bear move.. it's hard to say, but thats my guess atm.. I could be wrong though, and it wouldn't be the first or last time..

Funny to see price back in the region where your closed loss positions were. It is true, not the trading mistakes kill your account, leverage does.
