Oh, yeah, of course, it must have a boolean to control it (as said in my last post). Well, I think as Phoenix / firebird has so few losers, it shouldn't be to big of a problem. I mean, we can just do it till you have the amount quadrupled or doubled. However, I think it worth consideration. It's kind of a gambling function though and only for people with deep pockets.

If you can't resolve the problem, just wait till Hendrick is releasing the next version. However, do you have GAMBLING, MM and SURF and maybe AccountMicro set to FALSE? I think because of a bug you have to disable all these functions, they are all using the MM-function (even if you disable it). I already told Hendrick about this bug.
BUT, JUST READ the whole thread - SOOOO many of your questions are already answered right here!

Trading Report
Phoenix EA v1.0 / Demo Account / InterbankFX
EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY (all on 15 min charts)

Trading Hours: all day
MM=on Gamble=off, Surf=on
Percent=0.1, Risk=2, TP=18, SL=42

The attached statement shows profit/loss in pips for all closed transactions.

The biggest change I made to the default settings are:
Percent = 0.1 (original 0.05), Risk = 5 (original 5)

The widening of the envelope from 0.05 to 0.1 does reduce the number of trades. That's why I probably don't have any trades for the euro so far.

And yeah, I have an addition: Could you enable the trade to set TrailingAct & TrailingStep? I think right now it's using TrailingAct = TrailingStep and you call it Trailingstop. In my version, I implemented these two vars. + TrailingStop as boolean - you can toggle if you want TrailingStop.
If you want I can give you some code for this.
And by the way, I really like Tarheel's suggestion to double the traded amount after a loss. I mean, it's really easy to implement (especially in Phoenix) and you can just use a bool to toggle it.
I don't understand you. Phoenix is just a couple of days old.

Well, this seems to happen every time someone offers some help with a indicator or a system or a method or ect...

Hendrick has been more than kind to program this EA and to support it. You have my gratitude Hendrick. There are always some people that just do not get that something freely given need not be trashed.

I think we need to raise the level of respect here for Hendrick's fine work.

Alsup, you have to follow the suggestions people are trying to give you or just stop asking. Sorry to be so blunt. But I've told you that coesfx does not default their platform to autotrade. I know this from personal experience. Either call them and switch it, or simply go to any other broker and just download another platform. I'm not saying fill out paperwork and open an account, just download the demo -- takes 30 seconds. www.strategybuilderfx.com has the download button front and center on their homepage. Just download it and try running phoenix on it. If it works, at least you've narrowed your problem down a bit. Start with the same settings you're trying to use now. MM= false, etc.

Has anyone been running a version of Phoneix or Firebird with a safearea below 40? I'd be curious to know your results. Thx.

I thought you meant that it would take Phoenix a year to make real money, running 24/7. I didn't think that he meant the development would take a year. Hm...what did you mean now ? The reason I asked then was that I couldn't imagine that Phoenix (which is really on of the best TradingSystems I know) would take a year to make some money.

Well, you could backtest it of course only if you have some reliable data. Look at http://www.metatrader.info/node/67 to get some tips from CodersGuru.

Hendrick I notice that you have no Phoenixsurf orders listed on your statement. Do you have this function disabled?

Very nice job! I think he said he had phoenixsurf disabled, not 100% certain though.

If you go back a page or two he attached his settings.

Oh, well. That's kinda strange. I guess it depends on the fact that there are no ticks in the hst-files? I don't know. However, it's much better if you get bad results in BT and good one in FT not the other way around, right?

Mine did well today too. I had 13 wins/3 losses. All losses were surf trades. I might disable that as well.

That is smart. Just checked my history. I would have avoided 9 of my 16 losses so far without that feature. Thats 360 pips more I would have had right about now. I think I should disable it as well. Ironically it is responsible for 9 of my 23 wins as well. But its a net loser.
