If you want to use my settings please be aware that the time-filters are for GMT+2 (these are Local Times). If you are in a differentt time-zone you have to convert these settings. Read the manual or just Google.

Quoting hidetherealDislikedDoes anybody know what GMT Strategybuilder MT4 is set at? Or would I use my local time zone?Ignored

Quoting BenQDislikedSBFX is GMT +2. If you're talking about setting the tradefrom/tradeuntil, that uses your local time. If you want to convert Hendrick's time to yours, you need to do the conversion.Ignored
Quoting 4x4txDislikedUse your Local time. Hendrick is GMT+2, I'm GMT-5, so I subtract 7 from Hendrick's settings. e.g. if Hendrick's Gamble time is 16 to 17, I would put in 9 to 10 for my time zone.Ignored
Quoting cgldsmthDislikedthis business about timings still isn't clear to me. Are we going by the broker or by local??Ignored
Quoting cgldsmthDislikedWell one of the best ways I've found to confirm a trend has been the HAT indicators (see thread). If you could code into phoenix to follow the trend when the bar goes above or below T3 that would change it nicely into a trend-follower.
see the HAT thread.Ignored
Quoting HendrickDislikedThanks a lot for this. I will look at it.Ignored
Quoting HendrickDisliked<st1:city w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:city> is doing very well in a ranging market (the best I’ve seen until now). We can two things: prevent <st1:city w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:city> to place trades in a trending market (on the long run, a year or more, <st1:city w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:city> will make money) or to switch <st1:city w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Phoenix</st1lace></st1:city> to a trend-follower EA if the market changes from ranging to trending. Please give me some feedback.

Quoting tradeigelDislikedWell, why do you say after a year or more, Phoenix will make money? Why would it take so long to make real money?
So when do you think v2 will be available?
And yeah, I have an addition: Could you enable the trade to set TrailingAct & TrailingStep? I think right now it's using TrailingAct = TrailingStep and you call it Trailingstop. In my version, I implemented these two vars. + TrailingStop as boolean - you can toggle if you want TrailingStop.
If you want I can give you some code for this.
And by the way, I really like Tarheel's suggestion to double the traded amount after a loss. I mean, it's really easy to implement (especially in Phoenix) and you can just use a bool to toggle it.Ignored
Quoting HendrickDislikedLet’s see if I got this right for Firebird version 2:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

When using MM=true some people get 131 errors because some brokers don’t accept lot-sizes like 0.24. So for those we have to use a RoundUp function that will roundup these lot-sizes to the nearest integer (0.24 gets 0.2. 0.26 gets 0.3 and so on).<o></o>
<o></o>
There was a bug when using MM=false and WantToGamble=true. In that case lots were calculated by MM although MM was false.<o></o>
<o></o>
MM is not working as it should for MicroAccounts. I’ve discovered a different piece of code for Money management. It’s based on the idea that after some losses Lots will decrease. I like this.<o></o>

If using UseSurf=true Surf orders where opened while a Regular order for the same pair in a different direction was still open. Some of you want to have the possibility to close these orders. I will not implement this because I’m not satisfied about the performance of “UseSurf”. I’m working at a different technique to “switch” <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:City></st1lace> from a counter-trend EA to a Trend-follower EA during a trending/volatile market.<o></o>
