I am looking for a provider of currency futures market Depth DOM , order flow, Bid, ask Volume
I trade forex, through oanda and I want see market flow, Dom to help me make trade decisions
So I don’t want to use a futures, broker account for trading.
I am looking for the cheapest provider of currency futures Market depth.
I know about ninja trader , but I am over whelmed with all the different data providers and they all have the 30 day demos I know. If I have to open account with some minimum deposit just to use their data that’s fine. just looking for some option of the best way to get this data the cheapest way.

You won't find any free Futures data feeds but you can find many who offers delayed or End of Day feeds, if that helps.

If you are looking for decent, free End of Day packages, look into:

  1. Freestockcharts
  2. Prorealtime
  3. MarketWatch (WSJ)
  4. Reuters

Reuters and MarketWatch are web-based while FreeStockCharts and ProRealTime offers trading platforms complete with technicals.

Remember, Futures isn't like Forex in that everything is provided to the trader for free (i.e. trading platform, charting package, data feeds, etc). With Futures, you usually only get a trading platform for executing trades, provided by the broker, for free. Future trader usually invest in a 3rd party charting and date packages for technical analytics.

And on top of that, usually you would even need to pay a subscription fee to subscribe to the specific exchange(s) to get realtime data.

Personally for me, I am not sure how Currency Futures data helps me in my trading as the data is from a totally different market that is lot more segmented, rigid and illiquid than Forex. But I guess for some trading sytles and strategies, it's helpful.

I am not sure if it would help me, but I thought it would be interesting in seeing
a real bid, ask volume ladder and compare that to a mt4 forex chart to
help confirm your favorite mt4 indicator

TOS Options express, i have no idea....

Interactive brokers offer depth through time and sales and book trader. Book Trader has a ladder which you can directly trade into. For every different exchange you want to to see or trade on with IB you have subscribe. Some are free some have a data fee. It's all on the site in market data costs and in account management section.

I used to trade futures. Most every discount futures broker will provide live clients with free datafeed to the electronically traded contracts

Tradestation
OpenEcry
IB
InfinityFutures

and many more.

I still have acct with OpenEcry. great selection. I think 5k to open account or maybe 2k. Not sure. But you can just open account, and wait a couple of weeks and then withdraw most of your funds, just leaving a few hundred dollars there. But to be fair, you should make at least one-two trades with a broker.

I think they also offer a paid demo acct for $25. And the feed is exactly the same as the live. 14 day free demo and they are strict about multiple demos to the same user.

elitetrader.com keeps up more with futures brokers.

Buy the Kinetick data feed for Ninja Trader. You cannot rely on free handouts in this business.

To anyone suggesting TOS.. the paper accounts you get (demos) only have real time charting. All depth and price quotes are delayed. That wouldn't help OP at all with what he wants.

Amp Clearing has free demos that expire every ~30 days, and a policy of allowing you to renew your demo each month as needed. This would be a CQG feed to NT, MC, or CQG Trader... but I'd highly suggest the NT+CQG data demo since NT has Time and Sales (almost as important as depth if your goal is to read market orders, like, not just where orders appear, but what prices people are aggressively executing trades on.)

You can go one step further and get an unlimited demo by opening an account at Amp, unlike other futures brokers, their minimum is just $500 (but please, do not try to trade futures on a $500 account, I don't even know why their minimum is so low.. I suppose it's for the e-micro currency futures but spot is so much more cost effective than e-micro futures that there's nearly no point.)

You won't find a broker that offers perpetual demo accounts, since the CME charges per user for data unless it's a demo with expiry, so going the funded account route with a low deposit requirement is your best bet.

Consider this: 60 bucks a month for kinectick + NT data == 10 months before you've paid more for your data than you would have deposited in an Amp account. And the deposit / account would still be yours to keep. Of course, there's the odd inactivity fee you might run into, but even then it's still a fraction of what you'd pay with a data vendor.

Definitely! First of all, why not just paper trade/sim acct futures and "know" you can win before you go live? This is the cheapest most effective way to do it.Kintetic and ninja-trader together. I didnt even know they went up to $60 month. Still worth it. Think or swim and e-signal and all that other crap are just expensive nonsense you dont need, especially just starting out. I started with kintick for the data streaM AND NINJA FOR THE PLATFORM AND TOGETHER THEY ARE AS GOOD AS ANYTHING YOU CAN BUy FOR 5X THE PRICE. yOU WANT TO CREATE YOUR OWN SYSTEMS AND DO CODING, iM PRETTY SURE NINJA WILL LET YOU DO THAT. sO WHY PAY tos OR E-SIGNAL MORE. dO YOU INSIST ON getting everything free? tHEN OPEN AN ACCT WITH TRADE STATION AND IF YOU DO i THINK ITS 100 ROUND TURNS A MONTH, ALL DATA AND FEES FOPR EVERYTHING IS WAIVED. Plus they have coders you can hire to build your own systems using their easy language propriotary coding.

Someone tell me I am wrong. -)

Bottom line:

NINJA/KINETIC OR TRADESTATION BROKERS. PERIOD!

Sorry for the caps. My keyboard is jacked.

Because real money (live) adds a new aspect of trading to deal with? Emotions, fear, greed, etc.. all of which affect a trader managing live trades and making live execution decisions. Sim feeds are great, but they can never replicate what it's like to trade live in this respect.

You should buy a new keyboard, consider it a 'trading' expense.

But seriously, read my earlier post in this thread, there are free ways of getting real time futures data and sim accounts to play with.
