Is it possible to program an indicator to capture the very first price value data a trend line makes at the open of a new candle , and then print that value above or below the candle for the duration of the time frame ?

At least a volume indicator that tells you the Bull tic volume and Bear tic volume per candle..... Thanks for your input .

You should also look at indicators that take into account the volume of the CME futures.

I am looking for some coding I can add to an expert adviser I have, that would do the following...

1) Must be , Currency pair and Time Frame dependent . Only closes orders ( Buy or Sell ) on the Currency pair and Time Frame , the EA is running on.
My Broker does not allow hedging so on any given candle all orders will be either all Buy , or all Sell.

2) Will Close all Open trades at the Close of the Time Frame period... example 1 Hr. time frame would close all open orders at the close of the 1 hour candle. No orders should be open at the open of the of new candle.

3) Optional for user to choose a specific time during current candle to close all orders.

If you could point me in the right direction , or maybe have some code that already does this ... I would be very appreciative . Thanks

4) Another option maybe a Small EA that could be loaded onto a seperate chart of same currency pair that would do the same thing .

I am trying to write a Separate window indicator , and I am having problems getting the graphic object to show on window. I am a Novice at this so any help would be appreciated... the code I have is below . a screenshot of what I would like it to look like is attached . thanks
The 3 letters apply to 3 moving averages... however for this request for help that code is not necessary , for now I am just trying to get the text defined as an object and put on the subwindow....

This is a New question about the nesting of , and , or statements in an if equation....

I am trying to write the following code , in an if statement

if Y1 > A1 and Y0 >A0 and B< M or Y1<A1 and Y0 > A0 and B < M or Y1 > A1 and Y0 < A0 and B< M or Y1<A1 and Y0 < A0 and B < M then blah blah blah

I am having problems with where to put the parenthesis syntax ... is it even possible to have that many and , or's in mql4 ?

I know the above is not even close to the way you code an if statement but it is to show where the and , or's are located and what's greater then or less then what...
If any one can help please submit the correct coding syntax for the above expression. Thank you

Yes need to be careful with those brackets!

if ( Y1>A1 && Y0 > A0 && B < M || Y1 < A1 && Y0 > A0 && B < M )
the above has balancing brackets so is a complete 'if' statement.... anything after will make it unbalanced.

Ok this is a new programming question I need a solution too...

When I calculate Y in the following code it gives me an answer with a 5 digit decimal point accuracy , but when I try and print the value in my platform Experts journal it rounds it off to a 4 decimal place accuracy which is not good enough , it needs to be a 5 decimal point number.. example 1.55555 , Not 1.5556 . How can I fix this ?

a couple of suggestions:

1. send the result to a Comment and see if this gives the result you want
2. convert the double to a string using 'DoubleToStr' and see if that helps

Also are you sure you have five digits?
Use 'Digits' to confirm

Digits confirms 5 digit decimal … I just can not get the Print function to print 5 digit value in the Expert journal... no matter what I do it rounds it off to 4 decimals...

I get the same problem; but converting the number to a string using Print(DoubleToStr(x,5)) will print 5 decimals (where x is the number you wish to print in the Experts Journal.

New question about the Comment function. On a chart, I have 2 different indicators, Each indicator has a variable that I want to be put in a comment statement at the top left corner, in 2 different lines. When I write the comment function on each indicator, I only get one of the comments showing up. How do I get the 2nd comment to show up on a separate line? The image below is how I want it to appear. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance.

it is possible to have a multi line comment, just add this to your comment line

eg Comment("The current time is " + "\n" + TimeCurrent());

Your problem is that you are trying to display information from two different indicators.
One solution would be to save the two variables as Global Variables, and then create a third indicator that grabs these two variables and combines them into a comment.

I found this program that draws a Sin wave in a separate window. I. modified it to extend the wave 25 candles to the right of candle zero. I tried to add a second buffer to draw a second sin wave in the same sub-window. I was never able to get the second wave to show, all I got was a diagonal line going up or down. I deleted my code to clean it up and make it easier to see the original code. What I am asking is if someone can help me with the code to produce a second sin wave in the subwindow.
The 1st wave is 149 in this code. Dgr[i]=MathSin(3.14159*val/149)+Yhigh; , the second wave I tried to make appear would be /45 instead of 149, the color was to be Orange.
