Hey TF - Yeah, I'm currently watching AH price. Jumping higher (currently 211.50) and I also didn't have the b*lls to put anything on either!

I only made money trading bull put spreads on TSLA in the last year, maybe what I will do after the earnings fireworks.

Still have not made a single trade this week. Will probably get in a HPQ strangle b4 the bell tomorrow, will look for 2/22 $28/$31 for $0.90.

New position:

SOLD FSLR Feb28'14 70 CALL (FSLR) @ 0.4

A little closer than I would prefer at the 70 strike which is about a 25% increase of the current price at 55.6

looking at a HPQ strangle, got 2/28 $28p for $0.40, looking at the 2/28 $32c for about the same. HPQ looking to pin @ $30.00 in the last hour. And I need a $4 move dammit.

...no movement AH! I really know how to pick em!


....up above $30.55 late, just need follow-through tomorrow....(!)....will likely need $31.50+ to break even...

I strangled CAT, 3/22 $92.50p/$105c, $0.52/$0.18, $0.70 net debit, looking for a little dip....CAT lt $97.10...

Closed my position as follows:

BOUGHT FSLR Feb28'14 70 CALL (FSLR) @AMEX @ 0.3227
Profit = 0.075

Although the Options seem to be pricing in a decline post earning and various analyst also support this direction, I wasn't comfortable with my $70 strike being so close to current market price of $56.35. The 70 strike is only about 25% above current market price and based on previous earnings this stock has rocketed 23%, 27%, and 62%. It did tank after one earning by -12% but I'm not prepared to take a gamble on this happening; rather I'll play the probabilities.

nah on these ER plays if you don't get the move past one of your strangle strikes within the first day you will get crushed by the iv collapse, this will likely be a total loss, as HPQ has not responded much to the ER. There's a chance it could drop another buck by early next week and I might get 20% of the strangle cost back, I suppose, but really a shit sandwich, same taste of shit I still have from CSCO strangle last week which did the same thing.

itchy, but not twitchy. My finger, that is. On the UNG put trigger. Looking for a run on $30 by early March and then a drop to <$25, maybe even near $20 by April-May....if I have any money left to trade....could be epic...

HPQ traded around $30.00 in the hour before close yesterday, looking to stick there at the close today.

I like the idea of this TF - I think there is further upside to UNG certainly whilst there is the polar vortex, etc, etc hanging around. After things warm up, I would think there should be some pull back. As someone who prefers to sell options, I am going to look at selling the 36 CALLs for Feb 28 expiry.

we are gonna get a slump in natgas and I think it will be pretty steep; I think $36 is a very tall order, I'd be surprised at anything much north of $30. For now, I wait.

I see Cecil Gee is here - I expect he has had a busy week spending all that money he has been making trading options. Bastard....
