Which contracts and which news?.....first up is UK news for GBP in a couple of hours

Sold GJ in 7:44 bar....GU flat, UJ down at 7:33.....EJ was probably the better sell as € < 25 EMA...

Whoops - cable spiked up, out for +1 on tight stop....

Edit: Long GJ in 8:03 bar as UJ turned up, joining GU....also bought GU at 8:00 on small PB to MR 1 level

Took partials in GU at 8:10 as it stalled in a resistance area ~ R1, yesterday's high and a 50% retrace with TVI divergence - also in GJ....chart later

How do you manage that ? Great trades

Out for 10 pips (cross of my T3MA). The bollingers weren't there when i entered, i putted them on afterwards to see their use ?

The first trade - a sell - was a wash fpr +1

In the second trade, a late buy, exited the remainder after that slightly HH with -ve TVI divergence.....

Sometimes I don't understand the market... For example the GBP news. They were all green except of one, so I would expect the market is heading north, but instead it is dropping like a cold stone on GBPJPY...

Can someone bring some light in this...

The one that wasn't green...the unemployment rate, is the most important. And that is so because the whole economy can rise and fall with unemployment because productivity goes down with rising unemployment, welfare costs go up, less people to pay tax etc etc etc.

Have had a short break. First trade for a while.

EA short today 22 pips.
Felt like momentum was failing so moved to aggressive stop. Was aiming for BRN. Could have been a bit more patient but okay pips.

The only trade for the day - unfortunately missed a good GY short opportunity, but oh well.

Hello, Islander, I like your Chart pattern GJ, how about posting m15 & H1 H4 TIMEFRAMES. I am trading at tf h4 & H1, what should be the settings for :-

1.ultra sto color 833

2.TV1 V2 (10, 8,4 )

3.SonicR Pv Hist (20, 10 )

4. Is the green cloud- belongs to Ichimoku

Its frustrating to have a dayjob knowing that i took 10 pips this morning on GJ at LO and seeeing the chart right now, especially around NYO; what a clear long signal for about 100 pips .

Same for me... Its bad to have a "sniper weapon" on my pc and I can't use it... only once a week...

If you like Islander's charts, have you read through his previous posts, say for the last 3 weeks? If so you would have found post 4563 from his own thread regarding higher time frame charts and trading...

“Why not trade the higher TFs. Firstly, which TFs to trade is not only personal preference, but is also dictated by the time a trader has available to actually trade.

I live in Spain and thus in THE best TZ for trading the European Session which has 4 major market closes and 3 major market opens. This allows me to trade the shorter TFs and take advantage of the smaller Intra Day Swings which offer between 150% and 200% more pips than the Average Daily Range. I also prefer the action offered by the lower TFs. “

And reading some of his slightly earlier posts you see his multiscreen (including m15) chart setup (in fact he posted one of these in the last couple of days), would find out he his is still tweaking method (and what has changed in recent times) and that he updates his H4 charts BY HAND...[Edit: and that his cloud is an MA Ribbon] it's amazing what you learn with a little research
