I think if you short this you can win.
But you will probably win more on AUD leg and lose on GBP leg over the long term. But GBP/AUD is also more AU risk than it is GU risk.
In the near term it is still possible to lose on both! Especially GBP if the level breaks higher.
You might as well just go long AU at a good price. Shorting GU isn't too smart over a long horizon.

It was a short term risk (read; gamble)). G/A & G/N can be the beast at times.
Now that I closed (esp. G/N) it's moving more in my direction (typical). Doesn't matter.

Moral of the story... ? If you want to try and "tame the beast" you have to jump
in the ring..... don't let it kill ya' though ??

well especially G/N is just leveraged N/U pretty much. Yes it is a massive beast. Make sure when you're trading something like this you actually have a strong view on both legs and you have an even stronger view on the non-GBP leg because that leg dominates.
As I said, I don't think there's a particularly strong argument for being -GU with next week's data and the big stops higher.
At the same time, some people are saying short G/A and long G/N. That's really just long A/N... which suffered some setback yesterday after AUD employment but could still be a reasonable view if we can find renewed interest... for now I would wait.
Anyway, good luck with these, I personaly find it easier to trade the directs. Remember the pips in G crosses are BIG (almost double the pips in a normal major, so adjust your risk/reward accordingly).

Okay ... okay good ... a major probability target has been reached ... 75% profits has been taken ... no need to wait until "Sanktus Nimmerlein" as we are able to create fresh ideas for many times a day ...

GBP/AUD :


Hourly probability has been up mildly (+4) and some multiple methods hurdles has been hit either side ... lowest been approx 1.8567 highest been approx 1.8658 ...

And if wanted we can post a graphical chart view as well ... Attachment

I say "if wanted" ... or better would be to say "if needed" ...

Why? Well - because those chart pattern like "head and shouldern" or reasons of "risk and reward" are of minor interest for a trader who wants to make money ...

A "winning sytem" doesn't care such things ... we don't care as well ... there are much more competitive reasons to take a trade ...

TGT 1 = 1.8650 ... this has been hit and executed ... we took 75% profit on this ...

TGT 2 = 1.8670 ... still a pending one ... we still are active with 25% on this ...

But now we are not much interested in that TGT anymore ... therefore OCO protection with a "one pip profit stop" at 1.8611 ... as our best and largest ENTRY has been executed at 1.8610 ... and that has been in Tokyo Session at 02h06 CET ...

We are in it for making money ... nothing else ...

Looking out for graphic pattern is nice as well ... but most often missleading and or most often preventing from making money ... and most often a waste of time ...

Moreover a reliable and good working statistic calculation of probabilities is a much more complex issue and it can't be represented in social media networks ...

Otherwise further upside attempts towards 1.3853 or even to above 1.3880 are possible now ... especially while it remains well supported above 1.3718 - 1.3690 zone ... which is considered to act as its critical support zone on a daily basis for now ...

EUR/JPY :

This pair looks more tempting to me at the present time. We still have some smaller active sell positions from 140.97 on board. Neutralized setup with mild positive stance with a possible objective area at 141.27 - 141.56 zone ... which is more likely to be tested again ... especially while it remains well supported above 139.70 zone ... whereas its critical support is considered near 139.15 and below 138.95 zone ... This pair looks this way for now ... after we have had some profitable position squaring procedures again ...

Currently we are still long ... but now with avg BE @ 1.670156 ... TGT and strategies did not change that much ... you can see all these facts as shown in graphics here ... Attachment

Similar procedures in EUR/USD pair as well ...


EUR/USD :


Currently we are still long wirh fresh re-do-entries again ... after we have had some partial EXITS before ... and some fine tuning adjustments afterwards ...

Total avg is @ 1.37495 since then ...

Critical support as mentioned before ... nothing changed ...


GBP/JPY :


Absolutely nothing changed ... same parameters as mentioned before ... still long with avg of total amounts at 169.30 ... but now with EOD profit stops ... and still with ENTRY limit 169.10 which has not been executed until now ...


GBP/AUD :


Overall the Sterling remains set for higher attempts ... nevertheless we did take some partial profits in this pair ... but that is a few hours ago ... done at 1.87632 ... European Session ... at 11h47 CET ...

Now we did reload some fresh buy positions in 1.8690 - 1.8680 zone ... 18h26 CET ...

Just this morning in early Asian Session we have been able to fix all five major instruments of our interests ...

Especially GBP/AUD pair has seen a dip (kind of spike move) of higher speed and we have been able to use that for our purposes ...

As a result we are long in GBP/AUD pair with avg 1.857478 (!) and before that we have been able to take profits with merger and fractalizer features ...

GBP/AUD :

We are still long in this pair and with fresh low zone ENTRIES after ROLL while Asian Session is running. Wie auch immer ... our avg and total BE is at 1.857478 for now ... done since 04h30 CET ... which is finally a result and kind of reward for perseverance ...

And we are eyeing for a move to above 1.8708 zone and or even higher again as a result ... Attachment ... and our beloved critical support is considered at 1.8505 zone for today ...

Unless its critical zone has not been broken we are looking for trades with higher zone projections for today ... and this would change only with a clean cross of below 1.8505 for now ...

This market is not moving nicely anymore ... and I'm not willing to wait longer for more ...

I will take profit soon ... currently we are + 68 or 70 pips ... 1.8650 approximately ...

I don't care ... schnurz pieps ... Attachment ... Ende ...

We will come back to this at another point of time ...

Critical support considered around 1.8505 and 1.8480 zone ...

On a weekly basis it is set in a corrective consolidation ping-pong-mode ... neutralized with mild positive structures ...
