Hey guys, please excuse the dumb question. But I'm completely new to MT4. How do you implement the custom indicators that you have attached in prior posts for MT4? Or, if there is a thread addressing this subject could you please direct me to it. Thanks in advance.

If the price moves into the DC and it is on the opposite side of the T3..

or I should say this:

If the price is breaches the DC, and the price is between the DC and the T3.

It is a "semi-soft" entry.

This question is for the MT4 users. When volume is talked about, I right click on my chart and click volume. Twoblink talks about having his setting for volume. Can I change those setings?

Funny, I never even saw that. I always opened up the indicators list on the left and selected Volumes from there. I think that's where you mke changes to the settings.

First of all, thanks to twoblink and many others who shared on the HAT idea and the indicators.

I have had some trouble witht the T3 indicator and some issues with template settings on Dochian. So I made some little improvements. Would twoblink please give it a try and see if I broke anything :-)

I realize in a previous post you mention only starting a trade on the first bar that was not in contact with the T3, but is this true even for large bars? If you look at the 4 hour chart for GBP/USD right now, the price has dropped like over 100 pips but the top of the bar is touched by the T3. This drop alone is equal or greater to the last two declines of this pair. So I guess I'm basically asking how critical that rule is.

Maybe I just need to practice my patience. :-) I'm finding myself really wanting to get into trades - all of the pairs have switched direction over night. I'm in the Euro decline right now (4hr) and made money on the last JPY decline that exited today...

I'm also having difficulty in determining an entry point when the four hour and one hour charts are showing an uptrend but the 15 and 30 minute charts are showing a downtrend. It may just be me but I'm seeing several false positives. I'm going to re-read this thread to see if I'm missing something.

I've been going by the daily chart. If the 4 hour and 1 hour agree then I make the trade.

The smaller timeframes are going to move a lot more and it's almost impossible to have them all agree unless it's a very strong trend.

I've been using the ADX with this method and if it's not above 25 then I don't go into the trade. This has helped me the most.

Each time frame is likely to be showing a different trend. I only look at one trend and don't bother with confirmation from another time frame because I know it could be doing something else for the moment. I have Williams %R up and watch it's levels as a secondary confirmation. It seems to confirm the trend well - even preventing entry into changing trends which were only very short term.

What time frame have you been using this method with? I've been using the daily chart due to my schedule and have done very well with it. I'm curious as to how the smaller time frames work with this method.

I've been mostly looking at the 4 hour. It seems to be good for those of us with full time jobs too. It's a smoother curve. The 1 hour I think is about as low as I would go, but right now I'm just sticking to the 4 hour. I'm in a demo stage still too so perhaps someone who has made real money at this might comment but this looks good so far.

On the T3, it uses DEMA. So we should performe (E)MA on (E)MA results. We need to keep all the previous (E)MA values and carry out iMAOnArray() on the lower order (E)MA's.

On the Donchain, I just removed the hard coded parameters and use defaults instead.
