I honestly didn't know that. I though the EA is on my computer and...well at least the reaction from alpari guy sounded like I described.

I guess I learned another thing lol

Can they see if I put a mouse cursor on buy/sell/close order?

Those who you fight with on financial markets have informational, computational and capital edge. They own you physically and mentally. Asymmetry among market participants is extremely huge and game been biased. Dreams are driving force of all market game so better wake up!

Guys,

There was a thread created a few days ago I think in Broker Discussion where a trader was kicked out via a false spike. He compared the price to futures market where the spike was lower than his stop....he was short and I think it was GBP/USD

Either the thread is now deleted or I can't find it...did we learn another thing??

Just keep your targets out of the market. There some good EAs right here on this site, but if you are afraid of stop hunting, just trade by hand.

But if they see my EA don't they see the TP in that EA as well?

Sure I use Manage TP V2.4 and it's nice.

Another thing I learned over the years is not to trust in back testing.

Nothing wrong with back testing in itself but the data available which your EA is based is trash.

I found this video that seems to give a logical reason for back testing inaccuracy.

To have a solid base on your strategy it is important to test it in various market scenarios.

Markets change over time so you need a lot of years of data to get to some conclusions.

But if you rely on metatrader alone and free data available on the internet you are wasting your time'

MT5 is even worst because back testing run on their servers . So you have to TRUST that their data is accurate.

Spent a few days in Davos just 40 min from where I live.

Talking to an old banker I got to know there, I could not resist the temptation.

I asked him back in his trading days with slow and buggy computers what kind of indicators he used.

He said:

Oh, back than we used brokers.

Brokers? I asked.

Yes, back than the brokers knew everything.

So I guess there was a time when brokers were after their clients interest.

Margingcalled very interesting read, nice of you for sharing. We all have our tales to tell. One thing experience has taught me is whereever there is a lot of money there is always A lot of Greed and manipulation. Your conversation with the banker made my point. The odds is stocked against us, So we as traders have to untie and help each other develop. Ive started a trade club where i call signals via whats app for newbies free of charge to help them along as they develop. Only people who are making money are those gurus who offer training. They make money b training not trading. I made money by trading stocks and lost it all trading indices and forex. I f I stayed with my stocks I would not have had to work for the rest of my life. I was long SBUX, AMZN, EBAY.I had close those positios to keep my index trade open. Learn to trade stock you will one day make serious money, trade forex all you will do is talk abut new ideas and stratgies and not make any money.

No one can teach you to trade successfully you have to master it in your mind and be creative and find your own edge dont let the gurus and so called experts delude you to thinking you can make it easy nothing in life is. The hardest part about trading is finding out what doesn't work for YOU binning it and keeping the stuff that does work. I have almost made it. It can be done but only by yourself.
