Let's get back to basics.

If this was the first bar of all time.

The market needs psychology to move. Without psychology there would be no market......oh, and discipline of course but we'll get onto kinky pictures later. For now psychology, although Freud would no doubt already be perusing the rubber boot erection of the catalogue.

So, this was the first bar of all time. What was the psychology?

Price went down, so I suppose the next time price hits the open price of this candle, there'll be sellers coming to join the bandwagon.

It was a good time to sell then, it must be a good time to sell now!

I see that, but that's logic; is the open of a random time slice in the past of any significance ? Also, are you talking about what you'd do on the next bar (I'm not sure)? Sorry the market no longer existed. What would you do on THIS bar.

What about psychology: fear and greed move the market I've been told - without psychology the market won't move irrespective of a deluge of orders being dumped by a central bank.

I added my market profile indicator to answer your question. Both the market and psychology involve people (according to Google), so there must be some kind of a connection. It checks all price levels with 0.00001 precision (too bad I don't have level IIII tick data), between each candle's high and low, and draws horizontal lines to mark the activity at the specific price levels. There are also some hidden settings of the indicator I'm not at liberty to divulge - anyway, the lines turned out completely Tomato red indeed, so my conclusion is, there were only sellers in the market during that time, no buyers.

I know you can't supply the secret code for the EA but if you could code it so the straight lines can be rolled up into balls like wool and then supply a locked code block we can add it into the cat code. Although I still don't know if that covers the psychology angle - it says they wanted to sell at all of those lines but it doesn't tell us their motivation or if they enjoyed it, if it gave pleasure, love, hope, succor....I don't know?

When you find the edge you have to be careful not to fall off it. That's what makes a pro.......high vis jacket and tin foil helmet also required.

Many pro traders edge is the act of forum trading, which is much more profitable and far more lucrative than trying to trade a synthetic market for pennies with a bucket shop: this is why it's secret and proprietory and no EA exists: idiocy cannot be coded.
