I am now ready with my notes from the thread, and planning to compile all this info in an easy go-to synopsis.

Since the past 10 years have been spent maintaining heavy machinery, and it being even longer ago since i last had to produce a comprehensible document, i'd like to know if there are comments on how i intend to structure this. I just want to make sure it is going to be useful and well-structured before i put in the hours. This will also motivate me to work on this, instead of doing a little bit each week while the thread grows faster than i can summarize it :-)

As i said, i'm a total noob at the 'office' side of computering, and im NOT spending time learning that (rather learn this system, right?). So i will not be arsed to insert pictures, neat excel-tables or whatever. It will be TEXT, allthough anyone can go ahead and edit the final product to include screenies or whatever, I will not whine about copyright ;-)

My current idea on how i'll structure this :

1. Intro (pretty much Alien's first posts)

2. Indicatorwindows and their signals (including a brief explanation of the theory behind the calculation if i can find it)

  1. RSIOMA + DDS
  2. ADX
  3. Stochastic window
  4. BBS/Bollinger bands
  5. Divergences

3. Bringing it together

  1. Multi-TF Analysis
  2. Alien entries
  3. Alien exits
  4. The way some users follow Alien's system
  5. Misc tips without specific category


Let the bombardment of idea's begin please! The more input i get on this, the more useful it can become.

that was something i was asking me , when it breaks 50 line it's a problem to re-entry ?

i've the impression that when it's a nice bell pattern , even if it rises to 60 that's not a big deal, but for the most complicated trades ( when a choppy market begin to be long ) that's the only thing who forbid me to entry ( and the divergence of rsioma and eventually its 80/20 level )

i've thought to put 40 and 60 level and don't take if it don't break the 60 line , as you can see on this image,
but it's surely stupid to sacrify a lot of good trades to avoid one loss ,
hope receive your opinion on that,

Hi marco.. I see you deleted the original question about why my ADX lines look different then Alien's... guess you got my PM from the other day?

Just wanted to also post my response here in case anyone else was wondering about this, so...

"I think mine and Alien's lines go up and down at the same time, but mine look more exaggerated, and this is because his ADX indicator still uses the DMI+ and DMI- lines, but mine does not! Even though he makes those lines invisible by coloring them WHITE, they are still in the Window which messes with the scaling... this is especially noticeable on the longer term ADX ie. the 42, 89, and 144..."

Hi Nihilist... the first setup I missed because it was before the Frankfurt open... If I see a setup this close to a session start, I like to wait for the session to start to see what the big players want to do with it... though, I suppose you could have taken that trade anyway and been just as well off... the 15m was confirming at that time... however, if you went down to the 1m for the first squeeze setup, there was no ADX expansion yet.

took following trade short on nzdjpy

entry on M15
H1 and H4 in a strong downtrend with adx's expanding, rsioma's below 80 and dropping, Stochs all short and below 80
M15 : all adx except 7 growing, tiny slingshot forming between rsioma and dds, stochastic 8 and 21 are a bit annoying, 21 seemed to top on entry, but is possibly going further up now. M15 also shows bullish divergences with both stoch 8 and stoch 21, though this may change with the new stoch situation since entry.

i think i entered a bit soon, but the SL should allow enough breathing room i think.

edit : purple line is not entry on this one, sorry. entry is second candle from the right, at about 17H30

you've entered exactly when the stoch 8 cross up and in the 20 zone !!!

i've seen that on your other screenshot too , so,

i know it's hard to be perfectly in phase witrh other TF , that's why we can accept to enter really late on that stoch, when it's already in the overbought/sell zone but you can't take a sell when you have a set up that certain consider good to buy !!

you must understand that the good entry is when all lines look in the same direction and understand the use of stoch

I understand mate on decision moment though, the green stoch was looking to me like it formed it's top, and the 8 stoch was going 'flatter'. The lack of upwards momentum in the lower TF's made this an acceptable sell at that time as long as i gave the trade enough room before hitting stoploss. I expect M15 green stoch to form it's top and 8 stoch to take it for a downmove on it's next cycle. will just take longer than on my first analysis.

I also missed a wedge forming on the original analysis, which may also delay the start of my move.

Don't get me wrong, i agree that i entered too early in hindsight, but i think my reasoning was sound, except I should have waited for the green stoch to really form the top.

Great Captain, may I have permission to come aboard? my English is not great but the way you explain is definitely among the best I've ever seen. I'm just a beginner in forex and your explanations have lit up my mind. I'm reading all the posts to try to learn more about your concepts, and to fix better in my brain, I am translating them in my language. I hope to read them all as soon as possible, so as to catch up with all subscribers.

Hello all-
I stayed out of the market today - did not see any good set ups during the NY session, because every pair moved so hard during the london session and all pairs had such a high ADR. So I went down to the 5M on eur/usd and scalped a buch of pips. I used the fast 8,3,3, Stoch mainly for some direction.
I have to say that scalping in the right conditions is like takeing candy from a baby and so much fun.


Hay alian- I have to say that your system is the best use of indicators that I have found. In the past I have tended to frown on the over use of indicators.
I can not wait to hear some of your insights on your way of swing traiding and scalping. Also have to say that you are very patient and just a real nice person, like you said you have to ge a good person to be a good trader. Thanks to all

Has anyone got any documentation on the Drake Delayed Stochastic? As in : how is it calculated, what is the reasoning behind it?

I tried some googling, but that mostly takes me into math-related results with no mention of technical analysis uses.

Looks like there could be a stochastic cross setup long on USDJPY 15M, with a BB squeeze. M5 ADX are contracted, and could start expanding, other LTF ADX'es mixed. What you guys think?

Reviewing after posting i saw the DS Divergence short on M15, so definitly not a grade A sewtup
