Closed GU when it failed at its R1 level - probably buy again as it making new highs not seen since May 2011....

Sold EJ when it retested its DP and just banked half at its MS as UJ stalled at its close / open level....

Bye For Now.....LOL, I need to be trading in Yards rather than inches to play in that pond!

I've updated my EJ chart....my last exit was at 9:20 and then EJ "rested" for ~half an hour - note how the M15 stoch remained in the sell (OS) zone and how the M5 stoch cycled up towards the 50 level as price pull back allowing it to "catch up" with the MA Ribbon before another selling opportunity. There was a similar rest after price hit the **25 SS and another selling opportunity before the last push down to the MS 3 level - a fall of ~160 pips since LO AND a great lesson about reading these stochs and holding in the trade. One for the archives and I'm going to save GJs chart too....a 300 pip fall....

I agree.These we great examples for good opportunities and we be able to take advantage of them in the future as I see these big moves like to happen on the Yen-Crosses.Just need to wait for the stars to line up properly

So now that we are nearly at the end of the first month of the year and I have had a time to see what everyone has been doing and in light of Strada's success using pure Gen I have decided to try it as well now that we have sorted out the problem of the stochastic that only closes every 15min.

Pure Gen is much better at getting into the market closer to the swing high or low and so give a better cheaper SL and makes it easier to get into the market as the risk in terms of pips is less and so it much easier to make it up when it goes against you.

I will still keep the 150 ema on the chart but wont be making too many decisions based off of it.I am just very use to gauging what I need to be looking for by it.

No 5min stoch,no 5 and 15 min matrix bars.

Plenty of info available on the chart as it is.

Hahahha.No rest for the mind after a week like this where so much changed and happened.The only time I spend away from the computer is when Im sleeping,running,cooking or when my wife commands my presence!

Read your post and I agree completely.Lets see what this week brings for us mortals.

Really need to buckle down and get it under the belt so that we can stop building and tweaking and just trade.Look at Strada.He didn't change anything expect the MTF Stoch to the Ultra Stoch and nailed it this week.Looking forward to seeing some of his charts in Feb that man understand 1min PA like nobody else I've seen! When he says he does not do loosing days he means it.

Unfortunately my wife is doing that command thing and I have to go as it is summer here in South-Africa and there a BBQ ( a braai ) to get started as it nearly 18:00 here.

When I save as picture in MT4, the file is locked and has a picture of a lock on it. any ideas? I can see the file on my computer, but when I want to attach the file here it is not shown.

Try FILE, SAVE AS PICTURE, ACTIVE CHART (as is) , Choose where you want to save ie desk top etc, done

Two trades for me this morning,

UJ + 4.3 Bad decision to enter here late entry, too early in the day and approaching news, realized my error and did not let it turn into a loss

GJ +64.2 Very fruitful and only wish it was always this easy, (last Friday morning I may add was definitely not this easy, I personally took a hit then.)

Early days early days this week, just striving for no loosing days they are what's hurting my account.

What part of managing them? Letting them run too far? Compounding them by trying to "get it back"? Or not being patient for clean setups?
