+7 on EJ

One day when Im all grown up Im not going to let whipsawing candles before the breakout scare me out of the position.

The 1min TF is very unforgiving when you try to over control or manage your position

Slowing getting there though.

You were not on your own with that whipsawing Rooi, I was down 34.8 before I got on the right end of the GU just now.
Below my failed EJ trades, first entry 6.28 London time

Hi Anthm

Yip.A great deal of up and down for FO.

We just need to keep out head's on straight because we can see in Strada's charts there is a decent outcome almost 90% of the time because we are so zoomed into the PA that it has to go somewhere eventually.We just need to keep calm.

Easier said than done.

Morning Rooi, no I didn't do better, I did worse today. Chart below.
Trade 1; I exited off the 7.02 and entered short, G1m wasn't totally kosher at this point but bago was, it was more automatic reaction from those days. But also, knowing how price can run at the open I didn't want to see trade 1 go further into loss.
Trade 2 went to +6 and I considered taking it, had plenty of time to do so and should have done. Anyway exited at BE, which coincidentally was also a bago exit.
Trade 3. I'm still trying to work out if I was right or wrong here. Fairly aggressive entry (stoch 15 not crossed yet), reached +8 and came back quite sharply and managed to grab 6.5, then almost immediately exited tp2 at BE. Thought about re-entering, but DP was close and red news at 7.58, and by this stage I think I was probably in a more hesitant mindset.

So, sitting at the grand total of +2 and looking at the "what might have been". Your +7 is looking very good to me right now.

Yes mate my suspicion is he has captured the GU rally and some, he problem gorging himself on strawberry jam.

Yip feel the same way.Very aggressive up and down movement with price literally ready to explode in any direction if you ask me.

Like we said.Some days are better than others.Today could have been amazing but there will be many more good opportunities this year!

Nice work JSF, sometimes in this sort of terrain the 5m/15m is a lot more reliable and profitable as you've shown.

I was barely stopped out on trailing stop GJ long before last part of recent rise from just before LO. I was late entering so +18 half and +5 remainder. Has gone up another 35 pips since that point. Missed EA all together. Looking for a retrace to renter. I really like the Ultra Stochastic. I am trading remotely, so can't post my charts. I will try to do so going forward.

Wow - its all good news for € this morning - first the French Mfg PMI, then the German - both better than expectations.....

I dont trade EU or GU before 7:30 and as UJ was down until 7:55 I could'nt buy EJ - so I bought € - and cable....and later EJ too...

As usual, the big dogs had the news early and so € took off and with the stochs staying in the OB (Buy) zone plus price above the MA ribbon it was hold on until that high volume WRB - a green marubozo - at 8:39 - the fast stoch started to turn and a red appeared in the matrix, so tighten my stop to the high of the prior bar and wait to be taken out...

BTW, note the 2 squeezes in the BBs - a great alert to a move...

Dont worry about the chart.You could if you felt like it just post your entry and exit times and pips as that will leave no room for doubt.

GJ is a pair I will be taking on later this year as I have my hands full already with what I trade.Do you mostly just trade the crosses?

That is what I'm trying to look for with the ribbon as well.

Once the break out happened the ribbon guided you nicely and it was nice and stress free.
