Nice im looking not trading the system atm

the more I look the more jumps out to my already said by Bob

To trade the trend results in fewer attempted failed trades

If a swap is heading down then the semaphor will keep trying to pick the bottoms ..this can results in several failed trades before the actual bottom goes in

So if a swap trend for a couple weeks things could get hairy on the account front,in a chop market then the system I think comes into its own which is normal the reverse for every other system out there....the big question is when are we in chop and when are we about to trend...we can narrow that down I think

Look at the circles given by the none lag indy trying to pick bottoms in down trend now compare that to the circles going with the trend ..they almost pick every retracement

also i started a h4 account monday which is up 220 approx. ( on this post)
Does anyone know how to work actual pips out without having to check every trade manually as im working, estimating on dollars?
here is the H4
Edit mind you the mistakes count of course as we make mistake s live also he he

Hi Paulus on your chart i would only enter in direction of last no 3 and only enter sells . Does that work better?

Hi Guys, everything is going great guns here and it looks like we are all doing well.
Yesterday I had this idea of trying to bank 100 pips each day. So I'm setting my targets at only 30 pip lots which seems very easy to do with this system. So if I'm trading 5 pairs I will try and get 39 pips for each pair, so far so good.

Also someone wrote about keeping track of your trades, I have uploaded a file I use which may be helpful.
Good Luck Pipsters

Currently I'm in a micro account and it seems that a Volume of 0.5 = $0.50 per pip & 0.10 = $1.00 per pip and so on....
Hope this helps

Good thread Bobhowson, I'm in ! Thanks for sharing.

Will demo with the following tweak: I will take all 4H signals in line with the daily yellow dot, meaning that if we have last yellow dot on top, I will take only short signals on 4H. Hope that makes sense. Right now, I have pending sell on AUDCAD and EURCAD and pending long on CADJPY.

Cheers.

Interesting strategy ... my thoughts

1. D1 ... green or red ball
2. in w1 ... draws a channel with balls (you give the trend)
3. enter D1 <==> there ball in W1 (no matter the color or size)

example...
buy.............. eur-usd, eur-jpy, fco-jpy, cad-jpy, eur-nzd, gbp-nzd
sell.............. silver, aus-cad

Bob can I ask is your SL set to 30 also .. ?

If it is then have you looked at % staking ie risk 5% on each trade
That way the bank grows exponentially and the risk is always 5% with a simple EA you make make sure even with different swaps having diff pip values each and every trade will only risk 5% or 3% or wat ever you choose.

I have it built into my other EA's and removes the need to do basic calculates when trading the same system across various swaps

sorry, I didn't understand well the entry:
is it 10pips above/below number 3 ball or the high/low of the candle of the number 3 ball or the close of the candle of the number 3 ball ?

because the main rule on the first page says just above/below number 3 ball, but then other people on the thread says candle high/low or close ...
I'm just confused.

For me the best entry is 10 pips above or below the candle closed with the ball because sometimes the order does not start and the ball moves on the next candle without taking the stop loss

Ok here is the screen shot of the dashboard I want the coder to produce, swaps down the left then 1hr 4 hr and daily 2 and 3 ball with simple colour boxes .Red box means that ball is present and is looking for a short visa versa for green ball.Blank sqaure means no balls present

Present in Indicator that user can change

Broker time
GMT offset time
Colour of boxes

Things like what swaps to trade and what hours and balls to look for will be in the EA if we get that far, also for the 1hour 2 and 3 balls you may wish certain sessions

Any other info you think the dash board should have let me know .. In Future versions I want a box showing trending swaps defined by definite rules for example .Then if a tick is in that particular parameter in the indicator and you see a red box on the 4 hour is then you will know its also defined as in down trend.

Any suggestions or changes Il hold open for 48 hrs before sending off
