That depends on a way u trade,not on amount of money (depends but not that much)

Expect positive, u cant know for sure, why bother.

0, demo is to get know a platform u are dealing with.

I had losing months, never two in a row so far.

Depends on how much you value that 2,000$. Keep in mind, maybe 1 perc of traders make money consistently year to year.

Isn't how much % per trade somewhat the same as how much leverage would you use?

Let's say you CAN afford to loose that $2.000 but would really not like to.

Why not?. You can trade with 100$ if you want. Depends on your type of trading.

2. would you scalp, daytrade, swing trade or positions trade?
Generally I try to find where I am confortable and I have been profitable.

3. how much % per trade would you risk?
For forex. 1%.

4. would you trade FX only?
Trade what you know man!. I trade stocks also.

5. how many pairs/instruments would you trade?
Depends on what you do again. i am multicurrency.

I only expect what I have achieved in the past.

7. how many profitable months in demo would make you start trading with real money?
I want to see 3 to 4 good months before changing a system to real money.

For now yes. But I need more time to evaluate the sustainability of my profitability

1. would you even trade with such capital? - Yes with the expectation that I will not be able to turn this much into millions and retire in a few years. I would test my strategy out and if profitable, think of ways to increase my capital.

2. would you scalp, daytrade, swing trade or positions trade? - Position Trade because that's what I do.

3. how much % per trade would you risk? - No more than 5% in a worst-case scenario

4. would you trade FX only? - Yes, stick to one thing. In FX you can trade as small or as big as you want.

5. how many pairs/instruments would you trade? - As many as I see opportunities in.

6. how much % profit would you expect per month? - No expectations. I only expect to beat the S&P 500

7. how many profitable months in demo would make you start trading with real money? - I don't do demos.

8. are you a profitable trader on a month to month basis? - Usually, yes.

9. how many years do you trade with real money? - On and off for about 8 years.

hey vitez.... maybe somewhat, but my thought on leverage had to do with margin.... more specifically 'margin required'...... a high leverage account, say 400:1, requires much less free margin/available money to open the same trade as a 50:1 account...... this gives an appearance that the 400:1 account has an advantage over the 50:1..... and ya know what they say about appearances.....

back to the 3.....

3. how much % per trade would you risk? ...-> irregardless of leverage, on a 2000$ account, i would risk only 0.25% which is about 5$ .....

sounds small i sure, but a traders longevity is sometimes inversely proportional to his risk......h
