On my chart it would be the wave C


wave C can not be the shortest!

In my chart wave-a is the smallest between a-c-e , but wave-c can be the shortest ( in very rare case ) . Is a triangle , not an impulse .

off topic question.....what do you think when u see a 5 wave uptrend from the near lowest with the 3rd wave is not the shortest but it's not the longest either. will u call it a correction a? or a correction c...?

However, the wave-e should be the smallest, but it is the longest, so the first option is probably correct.

Probably be a wave c, if there is waves a and b .

OK, I see, wave A and wave C are both 29 pips


Keep in mind:

triangles have to be either contracting or expanding


expanding triangles in this position (Neely definition) or expanding ending diagonal (EW definition) are extremely rare (you can see in the work of Swannell).

This triangle would be an expanding triangle. The probability would be against us.......


maybe count it as follows:

place the last x-wave at the place, where you have now the wave B of the triangle (the x-wave then is an flat

after that all is easy

in an impulse up, the following is allowed

1 = 3 = 5

1>3>5

1<3<5

1<3>5


when the starting point is the deepest, how can we start with a wave C

unless the waves beforehand were ABC for wave A up

ABC for wave B down, where wave B ends below start of wave A


making the new impulse up the C wave impulse of the whole ABC-flat

you can not judge by looking of the length of the subwaves if a wave is an A-wave, a C-wave, or wave 1, 3 or 5 of an impulse

i read a pdf ( not from known elliotician, someone related to esignal maybe), the pdf stated that if the third wave is not longer than 1.618 then it's big probability of a correction.

next week im gonna upload it here ( did it violate copyright?)
i forgot where i save the document.

I think, that Ian Corpsey makes the same statement in his HEW approach

Now something important:


you have to decide, which way to go:

a) traditional EW
b) HEW
c) Neowave


You can not trade, when you mix this three

You can not get good conclusions, when you mix this three. It is like getting an excuse. E.g., when my traditional EW count gets invalidated, I say: but on HEW it is all right; and when that gets invalidated, I claim, that with Neely rules the count is still all right.


You have to decide......
