then draw TL for observation based on closed candle TF5 (not include spike)
do my short considered a good entry?

Hi San,
A question about your GJ M15 short:

I can see that the logic behind the trade is 1-cp 2-strong rejection from supply marked but what was your trigger to go short?

is my understanding of the setup correct

GU looked great for a short in a HTF... Before NFP.

Bull trap at weekly supply, weak retest at daily supply and being it completely engulfed at 4H... Damn.

If you think I took the trade simply based on 15M CP, well.... you still don't understand my concept (TIME & Entry based on LTF PA @ HTF SD - High Probability). Take a look at the chart below.

Hey gembel,

I've tried to understand your charts so far, but to be honest, it is too difficult for me.

Anyway, I have some comments/questions:
1) What do you mean by "buy short"? "Buy = Long" and "Sell = Short"
2) I've seen "lv" on your charts many times. What does it stand for?
3) As a daytrader. no trade a few hours before the market close. In general, price moves in a snail pace.
4) Personally, I do not take ADR into consideration. Just one of average numbers like MA (moving average) for me. I don't think it has anything to do with SD/PA.
5) You said the strong demand has been spiked three times on 1M. Do you think it is a good reason to buy? The more it is spiked, the better?
6) Your TLs look very very subjective to me.

I know you got some pips from this trade, but I don't think it was a good trade.

Hey gembel,

my 2cents on your buy entries. it'd be high probability trade ONLY if the demand was fresh. but take a look at my chart:

Plus this trade was taken post NFP. Now think of it this way, each time price tested demand, the bounce got weaker and weaker, and what does this imply? Buyers getting stronger? or the other way round?

Once again, I have to remind you, don't overly rely on patterns and patterns alone.. Put more emphasis on SD, preferably strong and fresh ones. That way you'll have a higher win rate, I'm sure of it.

what questions do you ask your self when doing the top down analyses? do you give special attention to breakouts, big momentum bars and what that break for example?

Hi faheem, I believe Sang posted enough charts for your reference. Just go through his past charts in his posted images, and study them. I'm sure you'll grab alot of "aha" moments, rather than asking for more clarifications. We should be really grateful for what he's already provided, and not trying to ask for spoon-feed.
