Sorry, tis funny, I got hounded off, by a bunch of Troll's who have no idea how to trade and have spent the day drawing boobs on charts and trying to pass it off as the next big deal LOL

I get it I trade M1 and actually make a profit so I'm no qualified to post opinions on anything trading related

Thing is...Prox is trying to recreate the wheel and refuses to learn from anything outside of his limited scope.

Take for example, he wants to enter on Open[0], instead of Close[1]. Reason being is that there is a fraction of a pip difference. What he refuses to also see in this, is that the fraction of a pip difference, is against him, because he is already that fraction of a pip late in the trade.

That is, if you take his logic into consideration...which I don't.

I received an email from a friend of mine, who has been working with some of the trade software that I have developed for exactly 1 year now. In the last 12 months, and starting conservatively, he has generated a NET profit of $28, 500. That's a serious chunk o change for what little time has actually need be committed.

In this, he has ran several versions and combinations as I have created to give various results. A lot of these same EAs have been both provided for FREE here at FF and at another EA forum, and for the most part, about the only thing that has changed is the triggering logic.

In that, some over the last couple of months, and during the big spike into EOY have ranged from $1000-$1980.

Does this mean that we have found the perfect market system or that market itself is predictable?

To a certain extent...yes, it does.

The thing is, it is in the profit logic that really gives these their ability to generate.

Anyways..going back to the what is predictable and how can it be worked for continued prosperity...

Specific patterns created by what is known as the Fractal Indicator and applied to a generic setting for OBOS according to Stochastics on the M1 charts traded across 3 pairs for the last 2 days has turned 500 pips(ish). In a random market, is it really impossible or improbable to think that using something as mundane as a couple of indies could continue to be prosperous? Is the range of market so limited that this sort of prosperity could never happen again?

As much as it can be believed, the market is both predictable and random in the same right. A dynamic range created by the multiple factors in any given day/week/year make it possible and probable to succeed with little more than what would otherwise be very random trades with the proper logic for a limited enough gain.

Doesn't matter though for us muppets, the only way to be profitable is to be Turveyd, genius-extraordinaire (despite his complete lack of comprehension skills, lack of ability to articulate clear thoughts, etc. etc. etc.).

I don't think that Turvey is a lot different than most on the forums. Bouncing around from idea to idea, never finding consistency because they cannot keep focus.

Check this thread as an example.

This has been steered off the main path so many times and so drastically, if you didn't know the thread title name and tried to go off what others had posted, you couldn't figure out the actual topic of discussion.

I am guessing the idea behind the thread was to find something that could be relied on for some sort of focus or consistency to actually add to a traders toolbox, and was because of that, that I even bothered post.

Where we are creating confusion, is with the application of the information...

(And because Turv needs to respond to every post like he is being addressed)

If we are a bunch of fools, and you are so profitable, set up a TE and show us just how profitable you are....but that would mean you actually have to produce some actual trades to back up your claims. It really shouldn't be a problem with your high IQ and all.

If anyone wants to guess my I.Q. Please do it elsewhere.

The forex is interlaced with a matrix of logical inferences, that can be used profitably, I think.

for instance:
If the EUR/USD is rising and the USD/JPY is falling, then the probability is very high that the EUR/JPY should be falling.

I am for now calling these things "Co-complementary triplets".
Among the 12 pairs I now trade there are 1320 possible such triplets.
Some of them have the force of elementary logic behind them, some do not, and it is easy to determine which are which.

Reverse the sign of the above mentioned triplet and the logic still holds:
(If the EUR/USD falls and the USD/JPY rises then the EUR/JPY should fall)

Say the charts look like I should sell EUR/JPY. With a little bit of logic, a quick look at the other two parts of the triplet will provide confirmation.

Just an idea... Play with it or ignore it at your pleasure.

There are MANY live profitable trades in my Journal, no MT4 though so sadly can't, that would really help shoot you losers down!!

For sure. Much easier for mental midgets like Turvey to go ADHD every time they curve fit a new system, claim they've finally found it and just need to finish up a few things before going full time, only to fail again, rinse and repeat...

I came into this thread because I expected more of a philosophical debate about markets, not amateur academics attempting to prove or disprove the randomness of markets with pseudoscience in their spare time. I don't doubt that there are some very intelligent people here (Turveyd notwithstanding), but I don't think there are enough actual academics with advanced degrees in economic modeling to provide real value in any attempted academic debate. IOW, I came here to shoot the shit while still having a market-relevant conversation, not because I expected forum member #18728472 to conclusively prove that markets are random.

That is only partially right.

You are drawing association based on the strength of JPY, not on the strength or weakness of EUR.

What is more likely, if you see EURGBP on the rise, USDJPY on the slide, that EURUSD will be making gains better based on the strength of JPY. IE, they will be moving in the same general direction, just not as fast. Even in this, it doesn't mean that EURO is going up and GBP is going down, it too just means that the GBP pairs will be moving slower.

There are a lot more things to consider in a cross market analysis than just 3 pairs.

This is dangerous as an approach if not worked correctly.

I disagree, I try an idea, then I try to improve it, sometimes make it worse, then back track then try to improve again, then ultimately scrap the idea as it's just not going to work Live and start again and repeat, my mission was to keep doing that until something stuck.

I've had a few profitable methods, just not profitable enough, current method is slightly outside of my parameters as it's more time consuming than I'd like, but I've accepted it and will solve with a EA Email Alert shortly.

Magix is right for once!!

I avoid cross market pairs, as AU could be heading up, so GU should head up to, so trade GU long and it goes the opposite way, creates a Bias which is just not good for trading.
