Wanted to post this one setup I (think I) see before heading off to the sack .. USDMXN Weekly and monthly ADX looks like its setting up for a strong move to the upside they have all come down and are at historically low levels.
I have posted the full monthly so you can clearly see the 20 year trendline it seems to be holding, the lower TF's dont seem just there yet but this could have a potential upside target of ~2000 pips for a retest of the all time highs at 15.5 or even upto 18 from the measured move of the wedge on the Monthly.

The wedge forming on the daily would give a measured move upto around 14 which would be 950 pips from current levels ....

I have also posted some of the fundamental drivers behind this trade in the last screenshot MXN had 2 S&P upgrades this year alone, when they got the first one S&P stated that it would possibly upgrade MXN again within 18 months. This upgrade followed 1,5 weeks ago well before expected.

kore2, just wondering if your delayed stochastics still have that pattern you posted on the 1hr USDCHF chart?

I ask because yesterday I remember mine looking like yours, but today it's way different... it changed... unless I've gone crazy.

Can you verify this?

Hi Alien,

I saw on some of your charts that you are stacking positions , probably entering small positions on different waves and let them grow with the long term trend.
Since I only believe on long term but I ve never tried this approach, what is your feedback using this approach ?

It`s still there. But quite disturbing that not the same position. Last time it was under level 20, now it`s near level 50. Btw I`m with Ironfx.

You should look at the right levels. Look closely at your chart and you will see that you have 2 lines for each level with the same value but not at the same place. That's due to the 2 indicators (RSIOMA and DT) in the same window and moving away from each other.

You should make the max/min values the same for both indicators so they will have the same verticale scale.

Good point. You can still see in the first chart he posted that the DS is below the DS 20 line (I'd say almost bottomed out), and in the updated pic, the DS is above the DS 20 line. So, clearly it changed levels, same scale or not.

I've always set both my studies at a 0 min and 100 max and also noticed a change in my DS from yesterday and today... I'm just gonna chalk it up to some Holiday nonsense though. But I'll keep an eye out on this in the new year when volume picks up again just to make sure nothing weird is still going on.

Alien rides the waves, This is the reason for trending, trending is because the professionals can find the bottoms, tops, or turns, as we can, Alien seems to get in before the larger moves happen as you can see.

Using the TOP down method, you can start to see the larger turns on the monthly, week and daily in advance by looking at the reactions of the H4 and lower as they slowly make their turns.

As in the beginning pages of this thread , Alien shows examples of Price Divergence with the RSIOMA, this is Important to learn as you can get in to the exact reversal with little going against you.

Alien likes to trade using where price can't go anymore, examples to come.................and the one on page 1 is a good one to look at closer............

Now back to your question , we find a daily or week turn, we then find H4 dips for the daily, or daily dips for the weekly to add positions, you can take this all the way down to H1 dips for the H4 . The pros start a position, and add all the way up as the trend goes, every dip where they can see a new bottom.

Using smaller time frames , some of the bottoms come sooner then expected, the M15, M5, M1 may turn in just a few hours , never giving the H1 a chance to fall further , but the RSIOMA and ADX should keep you on the good side.

The other day we had a great example of this , Vspatrick pointed out an EJ trade he wanted to go long on, using the RSIOMA delayed stochastic system on a M15 that had not turned up yet, and he asked if it was too early to get in, and I replied yes, I then proceeded to show the thread how I follow the M5 and the M1 down to the turn long again. We found the bottom being patient like an Alien, not the fast button pushing humans...........LOL

Below is where this conversation started and it is a good one to review, and keep reading forward all my comments as I called the move out before it went to the moon.............This is what the pro's look for, Alien is not a Pro, but a simple Alien looking to succeed at Forex. I think we beat the Pros to that turn by the way...

Retail traders can only see the small waves and counter trend trade against the large trend and they blow up their account, when it's time for the pros to add another pile of money to the trend after the retailers are lulled into an opposite trade because the market is resting before the next big move.

TIP : Do not counter trend trade when the market is resting and not moving , this is death !

As time goes on , I will spot these out and we will keep one going and the reasons why..............

Thank you for spending your time reviewing everyone's trading. This would be very helpful for everyone.

To be honest, I only buy small, 0.02 lot, and set my TP 1.6900. So only 80pips. But less is more. That's good already.
Those pips thank you for your selfishless sharing and contribution.

There is one thing, can you help me, which is I am kinda unwilling to check M1 and M5, sometimes even M15, because I think it lets me make decision harder.
As CK87 said before, maybe we can only check Monthly, W1, D1, H4, H1, so that we can have less noise? Do you think this is OK for successful trading?

Thanks Jeff for pointing this one out, we have not looked at yet................

USDMXN -

The monthly is mixed near term for the moment .........

The weekly - has the ADX is compressed, all speeds very low and No power, this goes along with the bollinger band squeeze that is happening also, a powerful move is in the cards, it may unwind slowly for a long trend or it may pop long fast, I pick the first idea, and when need to wait for the weekly RSIOMA delayed sto to set up more, 2 to 4 weeks out, but we need to follow the lower time frames for perfect timing.............

Daily is looking good ! RSIOMA and the delayed sto are moving long, the ADX first comes to my eyes as All long and good alignment for a push long. The window 1 with the stochastics shows the green sto just came off a bottom for now, the 8,3,3 is over 80%, this is forming wave 1 in my eyes, the 8,3,3 should pull back to meet the green sto for wave 2 and the if it turns long again , where both sto's are moving long , we will have wave 3 , which is the money wave !

H4 - price is coming out of a bollinger band squeeze, the green stochastic move up is the 8,3,3 sto move up on the daily, ( this is something else to talk about in more detail in the future, but I made the green sto to mimic the 8,3,3 sto on the next larger time frame so you can see the waves better)
ADX is Strong long and the 7 adx is resting right now !
RSIOMA is trending long nicely.............

TIP: The market is at rest when the RSIOMA stays long above the 80% and the delayed stochastic slowly drops away to the other side of the chart, before the next push long in price action.

I am here to teach and help, I enjoy this.

Small lots in a real account is perfect for learning this, no reason to blow big money on a mistake...........

Tip: if you are not consistently making money trading micro's , there is no reason to be gambling with larger amounts of cash.................Alien.....

as your confidence builds , only then move to mini's.

I agreed with Ck87 that this should be learned on larger time frames as to not mess with your mind !

It also gives better swings and more pips and less of your time in front of the computer!

But , once you get good, and you can see things in split seconds, you can drop down to picture perfect entries if you had the time and desire, in the lower time frames........... example of this just posted earlier.............

Perhaps in future posts you can talk some more about how you Manage your Trades? I trade the Daily TF, but try to stack orders Earlier rather than Later as the Trend evolves. Depending on momentum, slope and smoothness, I may be placing orders on H8, H4 or occasionally H1 TFs. I also do not use SL orders but rather trail my positions with opposing Entry Orders. I group them in batches of 5 or 10 for protection.

The result is that I am Hedged when the inevitable Pullbacks occur. If I think a Trend has promise, I can lift the Hedge when the coast is clear or else bail out. This approach is not possible for US residents because of exchange regulations, but a second account, one long and one short, kind of, sort of mimics this strategy.

On a lighter note, I think that Mrs AG may be taking to the idea of a Space vacation. The other day she said that if I planned to go, she would be there to keep an eye on me.

She also asked me to clear out some space in my shop for book shelves for her family albums and suggested sending these drawings to you in order to create more space for her stuff. Something like "Ship these to that Alien creature that you are always carrying on about!" High praise from her - as normally it would have been "BURN THEM!! We can watch all the waves anyone could ever hope for from the patio."

I was hoping that perhaps Alien has room for them in his sleeping chamber.

Wave trading can become an art and can be mastered with some light effort of understanding.

I am not a fan of hedging, unless you have more time and money than you know what to do with it.............. LOL

Every trader should make their system their own, so they can understand it and trade simply...........
