1.3723 would be a nice top to this up move since the 20th. If so price should head down until around the 8/1. That is the ideal setup, let's see how it plays out. {image}

#fail.
Looks like the 20th was the low, there should be a double bottom on the 8th though so will wait for that.

just caught your post before signing off.....violent move last night and this morning

watching the yield for the US 10 Yr Note mostly. the primary dealer banks are positioned very long betting on lower yields so a sustained break above 3% will cause some serious pain and capital losses if bond prices fall

bet here is the FED is done with the taper unless it is willing to see rates for the 10Y up at 4%

Hi Fxcube

Thanks for your kind words.
I have a bit of work to do yet on this strategy before i would let it loose on a large account, the equity is swinging a bit wild for my liking, plus there is not enough data from the last 9 months to draw solid conclusions from yet. It will stay in testing for 2014.

Happy new year to you and all the best for 2014.

I say EU has bottomed, I will be buying dips until early February. Probably around 1.41ish.

The next turning point for eu should come close to the 29th January.

If it is a high then then it is time to take profit on longs and go short for around 5 weeks.

If it is a higher low then it is a point to add to longs and hold until around the 10th February.

I think the second scenario will play out.

Look at a weekly chart for EU and you will see a series of 9 week cycles spanning the highs, Friday was 9 weeks from 27 December 2013 high. If the cycle continues there should be a move down that should last until around 14-17 March. 1.35 would be a target price zone.

EU weekly

I am looking for a major top in eu this year but I don't think 8 May was it. I only have 2 possible times for a top in 2014, the first was 13 March and the second is very close to 1 July. The high on 13 March has been breached so that leaves 1 July.

Also 13 March had its problems, for a major top I need price to hit the yellow resistance which is currently at 1.41 this quarter. Price missed this in March but it did get the monthly resistance. The May high has missed both these points.

So as long as the 4 April low holds I want to trade longs up to 1.41-1.42. I have one turning point on the 12-13 May and then another one around the 21st May.

dx monthly

For the dollar index to complete the current cycle it needs 78.33. If it didn't this would be the first instance it its history where it finishes this cycle without touching this yearly support.

AU monthly

I think au should continue up to around the 97c mark over the next couple of months before turning back lower again.

Hi Amy & danc

Im returning to trading after over 1 year off. I hope to continue to learn and survive in the market.
I found an excellent magnesium powder supplement. It called Natural Calm. I think its very helpful when trading.
Magnesium has around 300 functions in the body.
I had a hair mineral analysis done and I am very low in Magnesium and high in Calcium.
