As you mentioned, GA might fall down, but think about it. "Entry based on LTF PA @ HTF SD - High Probability"

I bought GA based on 5M bear trap @ 4H demand. The setup you mentioned is 15M WE @ 15M supply. My directional bias is still north.

Hey Sang,

Makes perfect sense.. That's one thing I need to learn, which is sitting on my hands, and let my trades play out. I always regard myself as intraday trader, and I always seem to put too much emphasis on every possible reaction to the LTF zones, even though I have good entries based on LTF PA + HTF SD.

Learning never stops. Thanks for the post.

That's a daily chart.of course the setup is valid,considering it reacted to a monthly demand,if u are a long term trader, the setup is a valid one to take. But im not used to taking these long term trades, that's just me.

for your AUDCAD chart above,looks nice. But allow me to say this, we share what we observe in the markets/charts. There is no right or wrong. Screentime is your best friend. Forgive me if i dont answer every questions posted, as best lessons are learnt thru taking trades and watch them in real time.

Careful trading at this time, most traders are still on holidays. I'm totally taking it easy, just watching charts, and not even thinking of taking any trades.


Btw, what broker are you using? my chart look totally different than yours. I even compare few platforms, and most look the same, but yours looked completely different.

hmm, instaforex, i've heard plenty of bad things about them, but i'm sure u've done your due diligence in terms of choosing brokers, so i'll say no more.

Btw, few things to mention here about your GU trade:

1. you took the trade as a TT (no PA confirmation for the short), and it was purely based on the wedge pattern you drew. Remember, that we're SD+PA traders, not just PA alone. the wedge is valid, but it wasn't a reaction from a supply zone, so taking a trade there would simply mean betting on the pattern to play out, and that's not what we do.

2. even if it's demo, your lot size should be realistic, in comparison to the starting capital that you're planning to start to trade with. Unless you're planning to start trading with at least $20000, taking 2 standard lots is simply too much.

the "pattern" on your charts looks "forced" to me. the TL's didn't have obvious touches...anyway, even if the TL's were valid, taking a trade before an engulf, plus not from a supply zone, will fail more often than not.
