Ok thanks for the feedback. Am looking to finally get rid of this slowdown once and for all. Sorry about this.

Thanks, good to hear it's better than before. I think I can get it running better. Hopefully this week.

Question for those using the indicator - have anyone noticed any slowing down of MT4? Or has the indicator crashed your platform? Please let me know, as there are a couple of peeps who are still experiencing slow down. Thanks.
Ignored
Still slows the PC down.

At first, I have to say it has done a wonderful performance over the last months, but we'll see how this turns out to be in a more or less ranging market.

I've done some backtests with a SL of 50 pips and would have had only 1 looser in November, but one has to have the guts to stand that ... and the money

As IWJW said, we're testing something that might be even better ... watch out on his comments

EDIT : for those who have performance issues, I'm running tests on a VPS with 8 MT4 open, 3 of them running the indicator and some EAs. I've had some issues today where one platform was taking the trades and one didn't. We're working on it and analysing logs right now.

Funny thing is, there were actually THREE other setups today which almost fulfilled all conditions (over 95% of conditions) before a trigger. They would have all been clear winners.

When I update the new version of the indicator this week, I might relax some of the rules just a touch, to incorporate slightly more signals. Overall winning % might go down long term, but I know one of the gripes with the Laser Scalper is its dormancy, heh.

That's always the problem when creating a strategy. The filter dilemna. Always add more and more filters as soon as few bad trades appear isn't a good idea. The adding decision must come after a while forward testing.

Keep in mind that you will never have a perfect (100%) indicator. As long as it has more winners than losers, all should be fine in the long term.

Yep, filtration is the most arduous issue when it comes to designing a system/indicator. It's a fine balancing act, but I believe with the new version, which I can hopefully release today, we will have reached the right balance.

Either way, whatever filter strength I select, this is still hands down the best indicator I've seen.

And version 3.5 shall be the best yet. Just wait.

Ash,

I would suggest giving option on the extern parameter about number of signals rather opening up too many signals to an almost perfect signal indicator. Most like the few signals and can live with it if accurate other would prefer more signal and complain how an indicator gives lots of false signal.. #justmyhonestopinion

Thanks for your suggestion, but that's almost impossible I'm afraid. However I'm confident you'll like (rather love!), the new v.3.5.
