Trading, as you know, was really crappy this week, so I spent some time working on a project, I am building a Hydrogen Generator to power a car, with out the need for Petrol or Diesel, and I thought I had solved it this time, but after an hour the car started coughing and spluttering. Yesterday yielded a couple of decent trades, unlike the rest of the week which was one BE after the other.

EJ +12 +50 2 x 123 trades, Because of the small ranges I trailed SL pretty tight. First trade got stopped for +12, second went the distance.
EU +50. Pin Bar entry confirmed by a small 123. again ran a tight SL but this went the distance. There was a reverse 123 that formed after but I did not take it.

Thanks for the suggestion, very helpful. I was mystified at first but then I googled "Icelanders+Hydrogen" and lo and behold, they are decades ahead of the rest of us. Unfortunately it will never happen here in Spain, not legally anyway, the Spanish authorities are sh__ scared of anything with the word "GAS" in it. Millions of users in the rest of Europe with LPG but here in Spain, one taxi in Malaga and one in Granada! so what chance hydrogen.

I've been looking for a method I can trade on higher TFs because of a lack of time to trade. I like the 34 Hull MA because I find it works well as dynamic support and resistance by getting the trend direction from the W1 D1 charts and then trading setups on H4 it seems to work well.

Take a look at the charts and see what you think

OR, you can try, 32, 50, 200 EMAs. OR any other combination of numbers, at some point price will hit those MAs what ever the number that you chose. Some people chose MAs set to FIBO numbers, it really does not matter, What does matter is how many traders are watching a particular MA, take for instance the 200 MA this by all accounts is an important one for the Swing trader and 1,000s of swing traders will make a decision based on this MA.

SMA, EMA, Hull MA, Stevensons Rocket MA or the Dead Cert MA, on the Higher Time frames it does not really matter what the MA is called. Many of the variations of MAs were developed to try to provide an edge on the lower time frames so their sophisticated calculations are more or less irrelevant on the higher time frames.

You can use what ever MA or any other indicator you prefer.

I simply use the 34 Hull MA because I like it, it's my line in the sand, I check to see if price is above or below the 34 HMA on the W1 and D1 charts and then look for 123 patterns on the H4 to enter a trade in line with the higher TFs trend.

It's nothing new, it's not rocket science, I do it because it works for me.

I don't have time to watch the charts all day, trading H4 charts with pending orders means I have time to do other things and not get burned out.

15 HMA signals the turns sooner, have you tried this?

I find the 15 HMA to fast the 34 HMA works well with the W1 and D1 charts.

HI I have been reading/watching this thread and read most of the post. Downloaded and installed 123v6 & v7, have been unable to find pdf doc explaining the read/blue horizontal lines and the red/green arrows?? also the numerical (some circled) notations on v7?

You need to follow the links in post 1 to the other thread where Robdee first introduced the indicator. Try This.

The numerical values were put in manually just to highlite the formation, they are not part of the indi.

Not sure what the market is going to do. See if the professionals are right, no one is right 100% of the time but these guys are pretty damn good.

FOMC will they won´t they? They probably will, but, how the market will react is another thing, if you can get hold of one of these things you will still only have a 50-50 chance of being right!

EU +70. UJ +75. EJ +40

Well, the professionals can be partially wrong!!!!!. This is what fundamentals can do to the Technicals. The Pros got stopped out EU, are still in the UJ and the EJ. So Not Bad really. I did not agree with their long EU so My bias was short EU and Long EJ and Long UJ. But I did not just jump in and hope for the best, I waited for the initial reaction to end and for the market to show it's hand and confirm my bias only then did I enter and pray.

EU +150. Talk about lucky. Out of Boxing day boredom I had a look at the charts last night and saw this triangle setup. Placed 2 limit orders, one long and one short, checked the charts once again before going to bed and lo and behold the long had been filled, moved SL up to BE +2, set TP at the Daily S&R, cancelled the short, and went to bed. Woke up, checked the charts, revised TP to confluence at Weekly S&R, ate a leisurely breakfast with an enormous grin. Whoever initiated this stop run. THANK YOU.

Yesterdays EU +50. Today so far EU SL BE +10 target 50pips. No 123 entries so far, this is why you need to have an alternative method or methods.

Update on today EU +50. Target hit at S&R level, only just. No more today until after FOMC minutes tonite, I was tempted to take the 1hr pin bar off the S&R level but that would have been CT with BRN 1.3600 and the 50 ema not too far above only 7-10 pips, not worth the risk.

I hope you had a good vacation, I thought that you would have more time but why to wast some pips while you can earn them .
I noticed that you've let the trade over night which I thought you wouldn't but as long it hit target it's great, maybe divergence on TDI made you sleep restful.
