MT4 Profile Generator

THIS is an SCRIPT for Metatrade MT4: which will help to generate MT4 profiles.

At times I use profiles with many multiple charts. e.g. 20 Pairs and each 3 TF (60 charts)
I find it a bit burdensome to do this manually: open each chart apply a template ect..
especially with so many charts it gets a bit messy on a smaller screen like a notebook.

MT4 Profile Generator: helps to automatize generating a MT4 profile for those charts.


I offer this free of charge for anyone who wants (only .ex4 file)

I'm trying but i can't see help file in expert/files after launched it with with true in help...
It's seem really simple to use but in which directory i have to put my tpl ?
I've tried with name.tpl in templates but nothing happens just an alert tab with -------------------------message

I'm using it with Linux so I do not know if all works fine with any other like windows but it shou;d.


In the Zip file there are 2 files:

sMT4ProfileGenerator_ATI_20130620_OBF.ex4 the compiled script file: (with Mt4 version Build 500)

IMPORTANT: How to know if this is an: ATI EA/SCRIPT or INDICATOR
EA - ex4 FileName starts with lower case: e
SCRIPT - ex4 FileName starts with lower case: s
INDICATOR - ex4 FileName starts with lower case: i


==== INSTALL: ====
1. Quite MT4
2. Copy the ex4 FILE: to the correct folder: depending if it is:
- EA >> MetaTraderFolder/experts
- SCRIPT >> MetaTraderFolder/experts/scripts
- INDICATOR >> MetaTraderFolder/experts/indicators
3. restart MT4

==== RUN REQUIRES FIRST STEP: ====
- PRODUCE HELP/README FILE
- SET: b.HELP to true and run the EA/SCRIPT or INDICATOR
A HELP file will be created in: MetaTraderFolder/experts/files/
All other Info will be there

sMT4ProfileGenerator_ATI_20130620_OBF.ex4 starts with s so it is a SCRIPT and must be put in the corresponding folders



Setting input parameter: b.HELP to true should produce a helpfile unter the MetaTraderFolder/experts/files/



An Alert should popup which says something like:
READ HELP IN FILE: <C:\Program Files\Some - MetaTrader\experts\files\__HELP__sMT4ProfileGenerator_ATI__README.txt>.


this should also produce the needed Subfolder: genprofiles

if one wants to generate the profile charts with a template: one has to copy the template into this Subfolder: "genprofiles"
see also the help file for all options.



In my case I will use a: clean.tpl

After that: run the Script and configure the input parameters: I will generate profile charts for All active Symbols in "Market Watch"
for the Time Frames: M5, M15, H4

Profile name will be: My3TFProfil






run and in a second or so one should get a similar popup:

The generated Profile should be under the "genprofiles"




this all take to configure take minute or so: I generate for test runs 2 profiles with each 80 charts no need to open 160 times a chart and apply to each a template

To finish it close MT4 and copy the profile folder to Metatrade/profiles

Restart MT4 - Files>> Profiles select the new generated profile




for just a couple of charts it's not worthy but if one needs 20+ with the same template it is quite helpful: no applieing by mistake a wrong template ect.
Especially on notebooks with smaller screens I find it helpful.
