Is it possible to become a billionaire trading Forex?

I am wondering if it is possible to become a self made billionaire from trading Forex? Has anyone ever done it before?

After a while, liquidity becomes an issue. Not to mention, you have to become a known entity. Who would accept a $100 million deal from an unknown?

It is a matter of what are you willing to give for it. This may come at a price you are not willing or able to pay.

Billionaire sadly I don't think! Chance would be a fine thing. I do however believe that all of us who trade FX hope that if we trade well, we could make a tidy enough sum of money to be able to offer the family a killer vacation, our spouses an expensive gift and maybe even that dream car we always wanted! Smart people who are able to make some nice profit should take the that profit and invest in real estate, now is the time, prices have never been so good (buy in South Fl, NY etc, not a plot of dust in Nevada!), in 5 years you will thank me

Important for you to improve your climb to billionaireship is the broker you use, go with one that has a bad reputation for slipping and requotes and you will spend the rest of your life trying to get there! I believe I have a great broker in ACM, the 2005 Corvette and the family ski trip to Utah over Christmas are my proof!

while certainly not your average "get rich quick" procedure, given the decent number of zero's you wish to attach to your equity, in "theory" it is completely possible.

understand the word "possible" is not the same as that other word "probable" and so you will have to lay out a master plan, stick religiously to it and compound your equity carefully.

starting with a million makes the goal more easily achieved, although you must make your deals with your broker, as most will not allow more than 20 lots to be traded per trade, which must be included into your calculations forthwith !

As you progress up the ladder of wealth, you will be tempted to withdraw equity, if only to pay for an ice cream or a root beer float, but your rents and mortgage should remain within reason (especially if you keep your day job) if you move into a cave that is near a wi-fi hotspot.

Naturally, as you move up, you shall become a broker or liquidity provider (tier 2) to assist you in your million dollar trades, so forget about that particular problem as its really non-existent, and once there, your own desk traders will be adding to the speed of your equity growth, so its a WIN/WIN situation for everyone !

starting with $27.95 in equity, in a mini account, "might" take you a touch longer to get it all together, but i would imagine, with excellent money management, an extremely high percentage of winning trades and an average ROI in the 300% per year, you should achieve your goal before your beard gets underfoot.

Just start with $1000 and try to make a 100% ROI per year for 20 years, I know a consistent 100% a year is difficult but its not impossible. We have ppl here making a 100% ROI in a few months. What happens is most of them aren't satisfied with that they want more and shoot for higher returns and lose it all in the process down the line.

Veterans in here like darkstar claim 250% ROI per year so it can definitely be done. I'm sure Jacko gets more than 100% a year. I've seen statements of devotees of naningbob's method make 100% in a few months so its definitely doable. The difficult part is keeping your greed in check and being satisfied with the 100% per year.

Thats the hard part.

Forex has got to be one of the hardest ways to make a billion dollars ever devised. As your funds get larger your timeframes will get larger too (they have to in order to find liquidity), you'll switch to investment models and spread out over multiple markets. Trading futures, equities, running your own fund.

although it appears the "young" guys always want to know the answer to that question, you might danged well be surprised at the number of multi - millionaires that you have never heard of, who just plug along day after day, because they love TRADING, and are NOT thinking of the pot of gold down the road.

They ascribe to the old "slow and steady wins the race" and simply stick with what they have discovered works --- the old "tried and true !"

Producing an ROI of over 250% a year gets harder as the base number increases, if only from a mathematical perspective, but for a few years at least, its VERY doable, with more available depending on dedication.

Now, while a million is no longer what it used to be, its a better place to be in than $47.85, and will allow you to compound nicely as long as you forget about an end target (that target will GNAW on you like a starving rat, causing you to lose sight of everything but IT, which is where you fall down) and just keep doing what you enjoy --- TRADING.

NEVER say NEVER, because too many people will prove that the cup is half full, and not half empty.

of course, aint gonna happen overnight, unless youre well connected with "uncle louie seven fingers", but it CAN happen with the proper attitude.

YES IT IS POSSIBLE!!

There are guys who I know in Hong Kong who have personal funds of up to $500,000,000 in their trading accounts who are sitting in their bedrooms.
It is VERY POSSIBLE but it will require extreme focus, discipline and mastery of your strategy. The market turns over $4 Trillion daily. $1 Billion is a drop in the
ocean. The important thing is to focus on the strategy and the process NOT the money but also be WILLING to increase risk sensibly. Increase your trading knowledge, understand the fundamentals, become a complete master of your emotions and stay extremely disciplined at all times!

You should already be a billionaire. Everybody on forex factory is a billionaire and they look down on millionaires.
If you only made a lousy million, you are a loser.

Trillionaire is what you need to aim for.

Yes, no, maybe..the point is that you get to hit the big bucks, provided you develop the skill set required..
And when it comes to the currency market, the curve's steep and the market's evolving, so any particular strategy applicable today need not necessarily tomorrow..
That's the interesting bit..frankly, all newbies enter the market with stars in their eyes..yes, big money gets made on the trillion dollars a day market but only if you have what it takes to be a successful trader..
