Anyone know if there is a spread histogram or some indicator which shows accross time the spread? The reason i ask is due to not being able to use volume for trading, that spread is probably the next best indicator to find high peak volume.

The spread is only available in real time. There's no historical ... unless you will build your own history ... tick after tick ... day after day.

By spread, you mean bid/ask spread, right?

I've often read of traders using this info to determine "volume" (is this the right term?). I've always wondered how they interpret this.

Would you be able to explain how a trader goes about doing this? For instance, how do you plan to use this info once you have it?
