Disliked{quote} FOMC day so waiting to see what happens, no trading till tomorrow. That H4 demand on EA is not that great, looks like price might be dropping into that HTF demand area for a better and higher odds long. AlfonsoIgnored
DislikedHi Alfonso, I have come across your thread its very informative, i have been studying S/D method over an year now find that this is true way of trading and your teachings are very informative, something i have come acorss your thread are eye opening, just wanted to ask you i like to trade the D1 and H1 combo, i dont seem to grasp the idea , as to what should you do between zones for example on start of the week i would open up my daily chart for all the currency pairs which i trade mark my S/D zones and then drop to the H1 chart to look for trades,...Ignored
QuoteDislikedForward testing is KEY to becoming a successful trader. No matter how great rules rules prove to be to me or any other trader, or how great your trading plan is, they are useless if you don't have the experience, and screen time to trade them. No matter how many times you watch my videos or read the posts on the forum, you will most likely fail to become profitable.
QuoteDislikedExperience and new habits will NOT be imprinted on your neurons if you do not practice for months, the same way you will never learn a new a new language by just reading a grammar book, or learn to dance if you do not practice for years dancing with different couples (I've been a salsa teacher for 7 years, so I can talk about this).
DislikedI'm new here, but I'm catching up fast. First of all Alfonso I appreciate your work, good effort. I like your strategy for 2 points: 1. Minimal screen time (after you understand the strategy) 2. Very good R/R Second of all, Forex Tester 2 is a nice simulator but if u cannot afford it you guys can try http://www.simpleforextester.com/updates/ for free. It's quite simple to use after you watch the tutorials and works with all the indicators, but you cant change the TF on the same chart, so you need to use multiple charts for the same pair....Ignored
DislikedHello fellow traders! I've decided to start a new adventure to try and help you all and myself indirectly to get more confidence on SD trading. I will be recording videos using Forex Tester to show you how the strategy works and how "my mind thinks". {quote} Why is this? Because you need screen time. You need to forward test the rules hundreds and thousands of time. Your brain needs to absorb all that experience, your neurons need to create those connections that will give you an instant reaction to a particular scenario you've lived hundreds of...Ignored
DislikedHi Alfonso, Very much enjoying your thoughts on trading, but I have a question regarding where rectangles are drawn. http://screencast.com/t/HjjcQ4Z2E0 Thanks. JJ.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi JJ, Thanks for your question... I never said the rectangles are drawn from the base of a bullish candle. On supply we take the lowest close/open of the basing candles for the proximal line, color is IRRELEVANT. On demand we draw the proximal line on the highest of the basing candles, color is again irrelavant. You just take the basing candles and choose the highest or the lowest open/close of all the consolidation candles. Hope that helps! AlfonsoIgnored
DislikedThanks so much, Alonso, for sharing these most recent videos. I'm finding them the best so far because there are no interruptions in your train of thought as you develop trading ideas! The screen shot below is from the 21:11 minute point in the longer video. It's the daily chart. You drew in the two blue levels, but not the orange boxed levels (which I drew in). I'm trying to understand why this is. What I see is that the two higher (orange boxed) levels are higher on the curve, so that alone would make them better levels... so I must be missing...Ignored
