still scanning thru potential earnings scalps. Next week I see DANG has earnings out 11/14, it has had good volume and moves at earnings last two qtrs. I'd post a chart but I'm on a borrowed laptop, no Jing.... I might buy a cheap Nov or Dec DANG strangle, it's an $8 stock...

seems to be a lot of great put trades about to happen, AAPL LVS GOOG PCLN FB, personally i'm looking to take aapl plus TLT long term strangle maybe 3 /4 months out 5 strikes prices out from current levels for around 30-35c'

The way the charts look for most of the major corporations we could see the start of a correction of some sort today

next week also perhaps WMT, BBY (11/19), HD looks good (11/19), GMCR is interesting (11/20), P = Nov 16/Dec diag put spread? (11/21), TGT (11/21), ....

you may be right and I'm a little antsy because I have a chunky SSO put spread with the short puts out on 11/16, $86, need those to pay, and I was thinking a little later, too, so I'm not as well positioned for a selloff as I want to be, but anyways I think it will blow over for another few weeks. If the taper buzz get going again with a stellar NFP today then the slide may get going, and run that into another DC pissing match over the budget and debt ceiling, etc, could be a blue Christmas.

the more i look the better the TLT strangle looks say FEB 2014 $111 call for around 45c and FEB 2014 $99 put for around 80c total outlay of around $1.20-30c

TLT closed at $105.96 yesterday

if they jitter up the bond market with taper talk then it will be easy to make money on TLT imo. but if we hit a ruff spell and the Fed throws the "data dependent" wrench in the works then we will see 10y note rates back < 2.4 and TLT back > $110.

So I like your strangle idea, I have been thinking along same lines but too many irons in the fire atm...

anyway, no new trades till Tuesday, Monday is Veteran's Day, hotdang a 3-day weekend, i'll check in around NFP tho, gotta catch some z's

HD down today, tempted to buy call leg of a cheap strangle for 11/19 earnings. I think HD will pop towards $80 on earnings, I see 11/22 $80 call @ $0.17 now....

..tried to get filled at $0.15, didn't go...

ahh I just try my price action for option trade!! mostely on eur/usd for only 2H. the result is so different form my Forex trading

on the 1y chart you see those bo's move well when they come, I would look for a $5 southbound drop. I thought we could see it at earnings but no.

Had my eye on UNG last months, looking to buy a deep dip, missed the boat last week when it dropped <$17. We should see UNG back >$20 in the Spring.

i'm looking at the weekly chart on apa there seems to be room up to 94$ but its tough going , agree with you on a better trade if it goes south
