For today not much has changed with my outlooks. The good numbers from last night did hurt AUDNZD, tonight we have some key AUD data and I will re assess my position after that. Sorry its boring with trades this week since I'm busy, but being a long term trader can get boring at times haha.

Don't beat yourself up over missed trades. I use to do that and still do sometimes. There is literally hundreds of opportunities each day in the forex market!

An experienced friend of mine told me that trading should be boring. One look at the charts in the morning, set SL and TP and go somewhere for a coffee/drink. Tonight or the other day you should have pink or green colour in your account history. That's it. I saw his acc.history, pink and green all over, more pink than green but he's profitable on annual basis. MM and discipline - an old and boring mantra but it pays the bills.

I agree with MM and discipline is the hardest thing to get about... personally one side of me have a problem with this and some 'mouse clicking' withdrawal syndrome.. especially on weekends thou ahah

I am a very relaxed person and long term trading fits my personality. There is no right or wrong way to trade but there is a right style for each individual person. I agree with MM to a certain extent. I have a friend who is very wealthy and he got that way by betting more when he has a winning streak going and betting less when in a slump. Nothing wrong with risking 15% on a trade if you're up 30% for the month. Great traders have balls of steel

That's for sure. It's like football - every team have different strategy but the positive result is all that counts. I'm also long term oriented, UJ longs and GU shorts are here to stay. Only one thing about the pound is confusing me: is it so great in Britain right now for this impressive rally of the cable? I've been in London during 2008, I don't know what's going on there precisely in present days, only by looking at the news. There were some positive numbers from UK lately, but does this rise of GU is justified? A friend of mine who lives there said to me that it is, especially vs eur, where he expects more downside for EG. I don't know, maybe, the only thing that left to me is TA and it says the impressive rally from 1.48 is exhausted.

I believe the pound is much stronger than the euro at the moment. This range bound market is frustrating for a long term trader, managed to make about 40 pips today on a few small hourly trades.

I totally agree with this. I'll make a trade and go mow the lawn/yard work and try not think about it until I get some kind of alert on my phone. I go nuts if I sit around just staring at charts all day waiting for something to happen.

Update on the long AUD/NZD.... the trade levels were removed for my website, I'm still in the trade lol. looks like we had a false break on the lower channel trend line. Tonight we have AUD employment numbers. If better than expected I think we continue up the channel, if not then we look to see if the 1.13 handle holds. My stops are below 1.12 so I'm not too worried. Target price is the 1.20 area

hmm.... a roller coaster week, i closed my AZ Trades as its way out of the picture, took some painful losses. As for this pair im looking at 1.128/1.1325 area for a LongTerm potential bull trend.

As for UJ im rather heavy on it, glad it turns out very well haha and managed to overturn the losses into profits... now letting it run with SL shifted from 98.05 to 98.95 to lock in profits...

I currently pended a buy at 1.128 and 1.1315 for AZ.. at this moment Sell trade of GU and buy trade of UCHF running...

Hopefully its a fruitful week for you guys too bros ! Green pips everyone

Whats up guys, some whacky PA today. The benefits of holding long term are great. Days like today? who cares.

Last time UJ pulled a move like today was on the boston bombing. There is absolutely no Fundamental reason for this move. Anyway no update on my positions and I didnt have cell service on my drive back home. This hectic week is finally over and can start some trading/analysis now.

Oh and yea AUDNZD might have another close inside that channel. hmmmmmm

Thanks! I try to make it a pretty fun environment. I am starting a website/blog for daily charts and trade ideas. I just started working on it before I went away this week so it still needs a lot of hrs until it's finished.

I honestly feel like today was a huge shakeout before better than expected NFP tomorrow. I could be wrong but I have seen this scenario so many times in the past. Today was all talk of "massive stops causing the burst lower" or " The market had priced in a ECB rate cut" The market was expecting a cut until those "rumors" came out yesterday that they wouldn't.

Today was purely algo's and scared technicians at the wheel. USDJPY should of kept rising today, fundamentally. But I could be wrong and I am not afraid to be. It's just that I have put in a lot of screen time to know when something isn't right.
