I took a quick TP on the EURUSD and am heading to bed since the other pairs except for USDCHF were no trade

Gadi_TickVolume & Gadi_OBV values will be different between brokers that are using different liquidators, but that shouldn't affect the breakout and/or entry points if the liquidators are big enough and sending sufficient signals. That's usually the case with big and serious brokers.

Exit point:
You can use the standard MT4 Stochastic (5,3,3) or (8,3,3) signal/main cross as an exit signal from a breakout trade.

Thanks for all your hard work. I have been spending some time with the EA to see how it trades so we can make it as good as trading manually. I appreciate how difficult it is for a programmer. a few adjustments need to be made so it will be profitable.

1. I am not sure what the issue is with the trailing stop. Even when I set larger numbers I cannot get this to take a profit greater than 15 pips.

2. If the EA passes on a trade because the candle is too large, it should not take any trades in that direction for the rest of the session.

3. The EA should never take trades when the channel is broken from above for a long or from below on a sell.

4. As mentioned previously, rather than just saying TVI above 0 for longs and below 0 for sells, we need to look at the angle.

Last chart (bottom chart): Agree, Gadi_TickVolume in down trend + 2 Blue bars = BUY signal on UP breakout.

Trades from Thursday and Friday--not my best. I am thinking I should not take as many different trades across somewhat correlated pairs and take solid signals and manage less at once.

Thursday should have been a BE + 1 but I actually took a small loss for hanging on too long. Friday I was lucky--not supposed to be trading Fridays per rules, but I look to see if there are strong signals. I hit the sell button too early but it worked out and I hit TP anyways.

Dewey -- I greatly appreciate your explanations and charts. Once again, thank you.

I have noticed that sometimes your charts contain gadi-normalized volume and at others it has been replaced by gadi-currencies. Have you found a preference of using one over the other?

Technically you don't need either one. I have been experimenting recently with the currency one. Ideally I like to see the direction of the white line on Gadi_Currencies match the direction of the trade.

GG53 was talking about normalized volume showing session averages. I am not sure if that was for this method but I think if you saw a breakout coupled with a strong increase in volume it would be a good indication of a strong move.

I'm using the Gadi_Currencies as an extra confirmation on EACH trade that I'm considering.
It is not mandatory - but gives you extra "peace of mind".
In ideal situation you want to see the currencies going in opposite directions and the white line in the direction of the trade.
...and Dewey McG is right in explaining the Gadi_NormalizedVolume role in the "breakout" strategy.

Not related to "breakouts":
Gadi_Currencies is also my #1 tool in selecting which currency pair to trade - to minimize risk and get an "advantage".

Good question. Per system rules TP is set at 2x SL, then move to BE +1 after 7-8 pips and trail at 5. I do that except I do more of a visual on the trailing SL. I am not going to keep showing all my trades, but will show some that help explain the system.

I wanted to show how using the Gadi_Currencies will help pick the best trades. The PIC with all the currencies shows which pairs are going up and which ones are going down. Ideally we want to see if we can catch a signal when they are heading in opposite directions. We can see when our trading session opens that AUD and NZD are heading up and that CHF and GBP are heading down. I used the 5 min charts on a couple trades to make the PICS to show where the signal occurred since we don't wait for the close of bar.

This is a pretty simple system and it works. It would be nice to see some others posting trades as well.

I noticed you're not using NormalizedVolume. Any reson why?

I don't use normalized volume any more but you can still use it for confirmation if you like. I am now using Gadi_Currencies_v3.1_Diff instead for confirmation. My new template is attached below.

Be careful to adjust times based on your broker. This week is annoying because DST ended in Europe but continues until November 3 in the US so I will have to go back and change times again

I also attached another template with Killian's indicator that has the alert. I throw that on pairs I am not watching as closely so I get an alert if they generate a signal.
