Disliked{quote} Hi MadCow, I need some help with you spreadsheet and indicators. I followed the instructions to install and run the indicator/script. When I try to update the zones I receive an error \\"Path not found\\" I don't think I am imputing my Mt trader path correctly. Please see screenshots attached. Please help when you get the chance. Thanks April {image} {image}Ignored
DislikedI have not yet tried this spreadsheet, I will try & set it up & see if I get the same results. It won't be until tomorrow now. In the meantime, maybe Madcow will sort this one out.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi April, Sorry that you are having problems. From your screen shot it looks like you may have entered the path in the comments box instead of the cell. Be sure to include the final backslash, and write the path into the cell. Do not include the experts\files\, just the path to your terminal. If that's not the problem, then you may be using Win8 or Win 7. I have not solved the problem between Excel and Win 8 yet, but will report when (if) I do. This works with Win XP. You can check that the indicator and script did their job by looking in...Ignored
Hi MadCow,
Sorry I’m not going to be any help. I’m embarrassed to say that I am still using Vista Business from when I had this trade computer built. Until now I really haven’t had a reason to upgrade. I have not been able to get the script to generate the file SD levels.cvs. At first I assumed it was an operator issue (I’ve had many before) because I have never used scripts before, so it has taken me some time to try and get up to speed using them. I have been working with the tech dept. at my broker firm. They also provide custom scripts that work in a similar manner so I tried their Trade history csv script and that also did not generate any experts> files. I’ve exhausted their MT4 specialists help so I’m assuming it’s a vista/MT4 issue. I have had other problems with Vista/MT4 in the past but I worked around that.
I definitely do have interest, so I’m going to look into a different OS or a different computer (with permission from the boss of course --- just kidding).
Thanks again for all of your hard work.
Joe
DislikedHi April That is just the macro. It stopped at the yellow line because it cannot access the file. That will happen for several reasons, primarily if either the path or file name is wrong. You can tell if this is the case by hovering your cursor over the 'filename' in the yellow line. That should bring up the path and file name that the macro is using. From what you tell me that is probably OK, but you should check it out. If that's OK, then the problem lies with the interface between Win 7 and Excel. I think this is the same as Win 8. I am pretty...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi dh001, Sorry it has taken awhile to get back to you. When you open the spreadsheet. click on the cell in question for example: cell F10, then click format on the top row where the arrow is pointing. A box will apear, click on conditional formatting 14 down) and the box will appear with the formula there as shown in the image. I hope this helps. Joe {image}Ignored
DislikedHi guys, thanks so much for this great tool. I am testing the excel version of the spreadsheet and I have some issues unresolved. I use Excel 2007 and Windows 7. Connection with MT4 works good. Update zones button gets valid numbers and Update sheet button gets a current price. But I cannot see spread value (Screenshot1). Also, all other formulas do not work - pips columns, D1%, W%, etc. These numbers do not change and when I press F9, all the cells with formulas change to #VALUE! error (Screenshot2) (as if there was an error in the formula). Note...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Carousel46, What did you do to solve the problem? I don't get live updates but everything gets filled in correctly when I press the update sheet button. Versus Alfonso's original spreadsheet the numbers seem to be live. Thanks AprilIgnored
DislikedJust so you all know. The 'Update Zones' macro works as follows: Gets the symbol in the first column Reads the ...expertsfilesSD levels.csv file to find the symbol that matches the symbol in the row Gets the proximal line data from the file Fills in the cells that use this data, e.g. cell(5,7) uses the daily proximal supply line. It repeats that operation for every symbol in the first column. That is all that it does. It should not cause the price columns to update. This macro requires that you have enabled macro's for this spreadsheet. It may require...Ignored
