But I am frustrated in this particular forum because it is so large and I cannot easily find the specific answers I am seeking.
I have read and re-read post#1 but gaps still exist in my approach and I continue to have more questions than answers. I have posted a few questions already that are very specific, but the answers come back with ambiguities, that results in me having to ask more questions. The reaction to repeated questions seems to sometimes trigger a standing response of "...its all there in post#1".
Is there a way around this predicament? Could a repository of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) be created by subscribers of this Forum, where questions can be posted and the collective knowledge of all the thread subscribers can build a single high quality answer to each question?
I have seen comments in this thread about the same initial questions being repeated by new subscribers. The thread is already large and quality answers are difficult to find. A single repository of FAQs could assist the experienced thread subscribers to respond quickly when they know the answer is stated EXPLICITLY in the FAQs.
If the FAQs do not cover the question being asked, then a new FAQ response is created and its content is matured over time through contributions from the experienced thread subscribers.
There would need to be some form of voting or polling system attached to each FAQ so that thread subscribers could assess which answers were better quality and more reliable.
Anyone else got any thoughts to expand this idea?
I see an example of an FAQ approach here on FF at http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=252690, but the FF tools don't easily allow ideas to be aggregated in a single post, so an alternate tool like a wiki or other social media tool might be better.
