Hi
I am starting a new investment account for my new EA. This EA will be for investors looking for slow and steady results with it having one of the most stable equity curves I have ever seen. The return it will generate is around 30% per annum. If interested inbox me for more details

this is a tipical martingale equity curve, i have seen it many times, so basically you are asking someone to bet, not to invest.....

Its a back test for the last two years and its a hedging strategy so it uses a unique strategy and operates at a very consistent level.

The bottom graph has a 3.65% draw down over 2 years

You are near to the point. That is why I asked above question.

As EA developer, I am always afraid of "straight line" equity curves.
I know what is hidden behind such straight lines.

Also if you look really close you will see the faint line that is the equity level stays at a very stable level. So even though there are a few spikes, that is only the EA closing the losing trades and then closing the winning trades so the balance is always moving upwards

Hello hundy1987,

Maybe you have a good EA. But at 3.65% DD you do not give your EA any flexibility and freedom of action.

Your EA should be able to take justifiable risks, make more trades, and not pass a limit of 30% DD.
If you can adjust your EA parameters to meet these requirements, then your money will work for you in FX when you trade with the EA.

a few points to learn:

1. "straight line" equity curve is mainly due to the taking profit at a fixed amount, and at high successful rate, though martingale system tends to show that too.

2. martingale is not necessarily a problem. being not flexible is. and you don't necessarily know what's behind.

There is no need to be flexible with this ea as it is a hedging ea. It trades everyday of the week except fridays and is always in a trade. It made over 1000 trades in 2 years. It does have an element of martingale to it but it is trading both directions so it doesn't matter where the price goes you will always win. That doesn't mean every trade just every basket of trades

i understand your way, i guess i know what it is. for 30% annually goal, your DD may be well controlled. however, i believing in your EA's potential means nothing to you.

on the other hand, on this commercial section, try to make yourself professional and outstanding from the other crap that we are tired to see. the 1st thing i advise you is to connect a LIVE account to myfxbook or trade explorer here @ FF. you need to let your customers (to be) to see it.

backtests means nothing, i mean, to the buyers ---- they won't buy it, though it is so vital to we system developers.
