Quoting merlinDislikedya know, i was very close to sending jim and email and saying "man, im so sorry, we couldnt get the forum back". but i was scared he might have a heart attack before i told him i was only kiddingIgnored
Quoting merlinDislikedoh god i just laughed so hard. elmer you vewy vewy funny!
it didnt take hindsight to realize my little joke was a bad idea. i wasnt really considering it, but it was just so easy that the thought just barely ran through my headIgnored
Quoting LapisAnguliDislikedI just wanted to say that the money itself -for me- is quite a lot too. Not that I don't earn substantial (for my country/type of job/etc), but there are a lot of bills to be paid as well.
But I did join, and for several reasons (made quite some posts about this in other threads). And I will remain in the PF even though I could download it all and get out of the deal.
Why? Because it is an ongoing thing. It isn't a "here's the book/a strategy/etc, now study", it is a growing process. There is interaction.. And because there is SO MUCH I still have to learn.
Also, I enjoy the mentality a lot to.
And if I was to worry about the money. I had been losing consistantly (again) before I joined the PF. 3d week in a row now that I can report profit. I was at 2.7K of an initial 3K when I joined, now at 3.25K. I had some bad trades this week, but made them all up without going nuts, risking to much, getting scared etc. Sure 0.55K on 3K might not be fenomenal to some, but for me it is huge. 20.3% gain compared to the 2.7K 3 weeks ago.
The priceaction stuff is certainly worth the 129$ and more. The sundial stuff is worth the 129$ and more. The riskmanagement threads are certainly imho worth the 129$ and more. The psychology threads are certainly worth the 129$ and a lot more. (BTW, tis is my personal view, others might think otherwise or value one part more than the other).
I even had a debate today with my girlfriend. She was asking "why keep joining if you just can download it? Why not join again in 2 or 3 months and catch up or something. It isn't like we have money to waste", but I am determined to stay. If learning without a teacher was so easy we'd all be professors or docs imho. (disclaimer: some things are, but that are perfectly bordered-in things. Trading is something with vague borders, not black/white but gray. Psychology is too. Strategies that are being tweaked fall into that category too)
If somebody was to think this is a scam/not worth the money, then you could ask why people would then stay longer than 1 month!
L.A.
PS: I did learn a lot form the rest of the FF too, I am not claiming it is solely thanks to the PF, but for me the mentality/psychology and riskmanagement compared to the extra indicators with priceaction really made the change. That tipped the scales for me.Ignored
Quoting azmiDislikedJim,
You said to move stop to BE. How many times was it taken out only to move in the original direction.Ignored
Quoting MikeGDislikedOh Lapis! I just read your post, and it gave me the shivers because you expressed perfectly how I feel about the PF and why I too am an ongoing member.
What you said about it being ongoing is right on. With each new post from Fiji, Jim and Dial I grow a little more as a trader. Like you, I learn a lot from the public side of the factory too, but there is something special in the synergy that exists inside the PF. I don't know wheter it is by design or by accident, but the combined personalities of Fiji, Jim and Dial make the PF a magical place, at least for me. I love those guys!
While I'm at it, I'd like to mention that Dial's last three Knife trades which he has posted in the Challenge thread have all been winners and have yielded him a little over 500 pips this month. And that is on the pound only!
Also, Dial and Team Aphid are making preparations to present a new system on the PF. In recent forward testing it has yielded between 10 & 30 pips on most days (not all, but most). I can't wait to see what it will be. Dial is my good buddy but he's keeping the details to himself. Drat him!! (I still love you Dial)
Anyway, Lapis, I just wanted to say thanks for your post. It's like you read my mind!!

Quoting fritzDislikedMichelle, Could you or someone in the PF be willing to make a post in this public thread when the new system from Dial and Team Aphid comes out because I would like to join the PF when that happens? Thank you, FritzIgnored
Quoting fritzDislikedHi JIM, I made post # 129 roughly 6 weeks ago and was wanting to know if there is any forward progress made on Team Aphid coming out with this new strategy? Thanks for any feedback. FritzIgnored
Quoting gtrader444DislikedI just wanted to say, for anyone considering joining J16PF, how wonderful I feel the Private Forum is. I came to the PF with about 6 months forex training and experience. I would describe my trading at that point as volatile.
Going thru the PF, I felt like I was learning from incredibly generous and knowledgeable trading mentors. There is no hustle, just lots and lots of good information. The price action information and Base 150 strategies gave me what I needed to get my trading calmer and more consistently profitable. I made a decision that I would respect the manner in which the PF was developed; and stay in it for the long haul in order to fully develop the potential of the information throughout the PF.
To find that "after one year it's free" and that we would get free Vegas signals for 5 months were great bonuses. But to me the real, core value of the PF is the ability to go back thru the material again and again as I get to new levels of understanding. I also want to say that there is a real "community" feeling here and lots of support and entertainment in the posts I look forward to reading. Definitely some unusal and surprising thoughts almost each and every day.
Bottom line, it's a great investment.Ignored
Quoting diallistDislikedThanks gtrader! I'm glad to hear that Jim's price action analysis and Base 150 strategies have given you stability. Jim is one amazing guy, and I share your appreciation for him. Everyone who gets to know Jim comes away richer for it!
Wanna know what makes Jim such a great trader? He's got BALLS!! :
Take care

Quoting linaDislikedHi,<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o></o>
<o></o>
I was a PF subscriber for a month and I want to thank Jim, Dial and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 /><st1:country-region><st1lace>Fiji</st1lace></st1:country-region> for the valuable information provided. I got good value for my money. <o></o>
<o></o>I am a newbie or rather worse than a newbie – with my full-time job I have rare occasions to place mostly loosing for now demo trades.<o></o>
<o></o>I read a lot of books on trading, psychology and money management but the information provided in PF was much more valuable than anything I read. First of all it is very practical unlike many books on trading, second from reading other people’s questions and answers I was getting more insights than I would get from just reading a book. <o></o>
<o></o>Another thing – PF combines all aspects together – price action, system development, money management, psychology and much more so I was able to see the bigger picture and importance of all elements especially money management which was an important shift for me since I used to spend much more time on system development than on money management stuff. <o></o>
<o></o><o></o>
Thanks again,<o></o>

Quoting lartrade0623DislikedJim,
I just joined your group last night and i quickly browesed through the info there and i must say there is ALOT of GOOD info there. Im pretty excited to dive into it and get started. I opened a live account a month ago and proceeded to lose 150$ in about 2 weeks, i couldnt take the losses anymore , i was trying to follow a method but it wasnt working, or i wasnt working it right, one of the two, probably the latter. Anyways, i really plan on absorbing as much info from the PF as possible and hopefully in 3 months i'll be ready to nurse my account back up to where it was. Thanks Jim, let me just say that your seemingly very kind and willing to help personality is the main reason why i decided to join, i could tell you are an honest guy just be reading some of the posts on here. - LarryIgnored
