DislikedJust about to do the same, any positive comment from Bill means this system must be pretty robust thanks GG Eamonn.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Dewey McG, Great trades and almost "by the book"... I'm not using any angles comparison - although it might be another parameter to the strategy. My rules are quite simple and already stated many times: BASIC: LONG: Enter LONG on first color match (both indies BLUE) And Gadi_NormalizedVolume is above average and Gadi_TickVolume is above "0". SHORT: Enter SHORT on first color match (both indies RED) And Gadi_NormalizedVolume is above average and Gadi_TickVolume is below "0". ADVANCED (additional trades to the above BASIC strategy):...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Awesome! Quick question--do you ever look at re-entries? If for instance you take a trade and make your green pips, then it turns around and goes back through the other side of the channel (see PIC for example). Or are you "done" once the first trade is over? {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} GG53 the forum billbss and I are referring to is the entire Forex Factory site. Your thread on this forum contains the best system in billbss' opinion and I've seen him express hundreds of opinions on systems here at the Forex Factory site over many years...he's very opinionated (unlike me). When I said "his award" I meant his opinion of your system...not an actual award on another forum...sorry for the confusion. I agree with him that yours is the best my friend...at least for me.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Poocher, I didn't thought about actual award - just thought this forum was mentioned on another one. G.Ignored
Disliked{quote} billbss, Thanks for your kind words. The strategy will be better if someone here can find us an "average volume per session" (Asian, London, New-York) with start/end time for each as an external parameter. G.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey G, I did some googling and found this Indicator emulates volume histogram and drawing histogram in 3 different colors – for different sessions, they are Asia, Europe and USA. Also draw TPO line. Input parameters are: StartDate – from where to begin (optional parameter) lastdayStart (true/false) CountProfile – how many days to show Asia – color for Asia session Europe – color for Europe session America – color for America session Moda – color for maximum volume More Info here - http://mt4indicator.com/tag/market-profile/ {file}...Ignored
Disliked{quote} shiva, Thanks for that. What I'm looking for is to replace the dotted line (Volume avg.) in Gadi_NormalizedVolume - not the histogram bars. The dotted line should, ideally, represent session average and not moving average. G.Ignored
DislikedI didn't take any trades last night because it is a US bank holiday. I was concerned that with lower volatility I might be in a slow moving trade and then some big news could come out about the government shutdown etc. that would send all my trades to SL. However, if I had traded I would have been in profit. Entry signals are marked by the green lines. GBPUSD was a clear loser and USDJPY could have been a winner but I probably would have closed the trade after the 4th candle for a tiny loss. {image} {image} {image} {image} {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Dewey McG, Regarding the "loosing trade": please read the "rules" again (post #1916). Don't enter a trade on large bars (>x2 - >x2.5) !! Reason: most of your pips are already "eaten". G.Ignored
