FTI, I'm reading "Trading and Exchanges" - it's full of things I really wanted to learn.Thanks for suggesting it. I reached the chapter about arbitrageurs, where I read an example of three legged currency arbitrage using the eur/jpy cross - very interesting. Is it possible to capitalize on such events on the retail side.
Here's a cool tune I found these days.I don't know why they named it like that....

but please never use the word arbitrage.
this the reason why the sections i created for them was disbanded.
The Strategic Arbitrage and Trading Units. (SATU)
Word satu means NO 1. No one could beat their profitability then.
If you ever say the word arbitrage, market makers will instantly offline you.(read your contracts)
Arbitrage is basically buying and selling a currency pair simulteneously.(with a profit)
It makes market makers feel stupid quote you prices that you in one scope makes money without taking any risk.
This reserved for brokers arbitrage ops on banks' prices only. (I though only mamood noticed it.)
This one of the reasons why markets rubberband effects.
When some one quoting flying prices, abitragers eats them alive.
But retail can be bullied.
If i was wiser, would had named the section , STUPID.
Only stupid dealers would buy and sell at same instance.
But felt too smart since it makes instant pee and called it SATU and sealed its fate.(if you trading in hundreds mios , is good income.)
ADD:by the way, unless you market maker, don't you dare do this.
Oh but synthetics butterflies, they used to be harmless and profitable. If you have multiple accounts and dealers doing that , no one can notice.
Unless your back office snitches on you.
But these days they know how move the crosses. So pls be careful although can be relatively safe. But if crosses tear, both wings can be chopped off. and you will end up with a dead torso. They wised up already.

I am started to buy new positions in geppy from 155.87.this time I am not going to make the same mistake as was in the previous trade.ie my initial position is very small becos last time becos of the position size I had to sweat a bit but I was lucky in that trade.by the way these trades of mine are more of positional type and non leverage with tail end of the positions are big.i am looing for a noise of 150 to 300 pips against me.actually in these trades I am exploiting my weakneses as a human.these r pretty ruthless trades and nothing to do with fundamental or technical analysis.

Hello Fti and others,
My first post here on FF, I just wanted to thank Fti and all the others for the great read and knowledge passed down. I have been reading through your lessons Fti and I stumbled on something that clicked for me. I have seen many people post about only trading from the 1h or up chart because all the "noise". I used to think that was the best way to trade, but after I read through some of the things you have said, it has become apparent to me that earlier time frames are a must.
Why would anyone want to try and dance with the market from one or four hours ago. I started making entries in the 5 minute charts based off trend alone. No fancy indicators or clothes, just me and the market. One thing that I couldn't adopt was, sending more troops when you are down, you need some serious capital to play that way and most of us here don't have the marbles

I figure if I enter a trade on the M5, I have 20-30 pips to be correct. I set a SL mentally and let it run, Once I know I have entered correctly I move over to the 30 minute chart and start a new dance. After that I move to the one hour and so on. The best part is most trades end up break even if it reverses, or sometimes I hit the massive trend that nets 200-1000+ pips with a risk of only 20.
I used to try and fight the market and trade at pivot points and swing trades. Thanks to you, I quit fighting her and just dance from the beginning until the end.

Hi FTI, hi Guys!
I need some professional help here.
I'm an Order Flow trainee. I'm trying to understand how the pro traders trade - and using this information execute profitable trades. In every method that I read I seek the presence of the upper hand - the presence of the pros - aka. Im looking for a REAL reason to enter. I find a reason REAL if pro traders / marketmakers consider the trigger mechanism of a system valid / real.
Recently I came across the well-know Supply and Demand. It says that when price consolidates in a tight range because supply = demand. (Well I agree with this part.) Then some event comes (fundamental news, or whatever) and price shoots away from this point. Now the "system" says that there has been unfilled orders left at this consolidation area and when price comes back it takes out these left orders and shoots away again. But Bamm?! Helloo?! Why would a hedgefund or speculator leave his order there for months?! As far as I know the real money goes with the seniment / long term economic indicators / news (Please correct me if Im wrong) - so this whole S/D system thing just doesn't seem to fit into the picture...
Please tell me where am I wrong. At the point where I think that pro traders dont trade the way I think they do, or this "System" (praised by many over the internet) is nothing but another TA wrapped in fancy papers...

I am No professional help . But what you talking about the answer is not here in this thread because in my opinion you talking on the prediction side - aka rigidity.
The concept in here is when the price come to some level you have to see how it unravels and trim your position accordingly.
You play with size in order to be close to market .
Whether the price that came to certain point will behave in predicted matter this is something that cant know maybe by statiscics
but in all rules there is exceptions.

there aren't unfilled orders left at the consolidation area months later.. it's the fact that people see the consolidation area from before and put their orders there again.
as for buying a pullback into demand.. well the demand zone is like a s/r line right? it's not for sure that it will hold or not, but it's terrain for sure, so it's best look at what price does When (and if) it gets there. that's why it says "low RISK" in the picture, because there's still a risk.

Hi FTI, hi Guys! I need some professional help here.
basically, market overshoots a layer of orders, cascades whatever stops are to cascade, fills whatever orders are upwards to be filled, than it goes down to retest. Are there more folks covering their wrong shorts/trying to establish new longs than people wanting to sell? If yes, go up; if not, go down. Rinse and repeat.
Also, think scaling: you are big money, you scale in, you scale out. You want to be long(per your picture), you think that the market overshot, you unload some of your position, but try to reestablish it again lower(snowballing if you want, while taking partial profits when it's overbought/sold - long sword/short sword).
and what you're posting there is not a "system"; it's buying somewhere where it makes sense. Yes, usually there'll be orders there. But from buying where it makes to actually make a buck... now that's a long road.
