Look, I'm all about positive thinking - it's great stuff. But I see this from time to time and a positive outlook isn't going to make anybody profitable. You need a strategy that works long term and provides low risk high reward opportunities, which is something almost everybody lacks.

Yes, but a positive outlook means you don't give up. Reading various posts in this forum, it has taken some over a decade. What if they fell at the first hurdle and threw in the towel?

There are also many who've spent years and thousands of their retirement funds pursuing this and they're still trying to find the MA cross holy grail. Time for them to face the music and quit.

If no one ever took a risk and had belief, then we'd have no entrepreneurs, no inventors, no Olympic gold medal winners; we'd all still be living in the dark ages. And Man U would be languishing somewhere in the lower leagues....

I didn't say don't take a risk, but some people need to re-evaluate where they're at after years of failure. There's a point in time where you need to execute a real-life stoploss and move onto something else.

The MA cross system(s) on bigger TFs are in a way, the Holy Grail. Ride the big waves, nothing complicated.

Umm, by wave I mean trend on a bigger TF, nothing like Elliot wave or stuff like that.

Get in on the crossover , get out when it crosses back, or get out when it hits the desired risk/reward, as long as you have crunched the numbers and analyzed the data you should know what to do.

Getting in at the crossover and getting out when it crosses back is a losing strategy. Countless people here have tried it and proven so. "As long as you have crunched the numbers and analyzed the data" is pretty vague - are you saying you rely on fundamental news to determine which crosses you're choosing to enter on? What happens when you get a massive move against you and your lagging indicator hands you a massive loss because the cross didn't finalize yet?

Arrgh..reading some of the responses, it is obvious some of us need the magik ball to cue in trades..
FWIW, hope it eternal and yeah, corny but all true - translated, even a persistent DD trader will have hopes of making it big.. but a winning trader will have what it takes, to move ahead.
As for the ingredients, start with mentality and move on to skill and an aptitude to learn and apply knowledge..

Trader should be mentally strong in trading because Forex requires lots of patience money management and trading skills so that we will be able to earn good and consistent profit.
