I know that this may not sound related to trading but it's. Listen to Jose Mourinho in less than 5 minutes giving an example of how to face a loss and move forward. I think Whoever can do that with trading will succeed.

I think loss is a compulsory to trade successfully because loss guide us to success in future.

I don't know much about trading yet. But for life in general you don't make huge success except after a one or many failures.

True you have to be able to shrug off a loss but it must be so much easier when you still get paid and you also know that if you have a string of losses you get paid off early.

Would he still be quite so philosophical if he only got paid for a win and had his wages docked if he lost.

But he also takes a lot of risk and if you're following football you'd know he has been sacked before of chelsea's hot seat

He was sacked but I think that was for disagreeing with Abramovich . I assume he got paid out so no risk to his finances or reputation.
Jose's risk is not financial to himself poor results are a risk to his reputation.
He knows he is a good manager and he has been at clubs with financial clout and big names to enable him to attract good players so he realises he can shrug off a bad result because overall he will succeed .

So in trading terms

He has financial backing...ie a big account

He is a good manager....has a good system

One loss does not bother him.....risks a small amount each trade

Full of self-confidence

I still wonder though if from when he first started as a manager if he only got paid for a win and more importantly, if he was fined for a loss , would he have been a success or after a few losses would negativity have got to him and his players?

when managers are at the beginning of there careers they have to be afraid of more than money. it's reputation. Oh, you already know that
