HI guys and Gurls I found this EA on the internet can somebody help me modify this EA PLS
what I want the EA to do is First I' ll put a Line on the chart when price goes there I want the
EA to get activate is this possible many thnx

Can you use a price input to activate the EA? I guess it is same as the line.

Unfortunately the previous modification only works for BUY trades...

If you create an horizontal line, and name it OpenBUY, the EA will open a BUY trade if the Bid goes above this line.

If you create an horizontal line, and name it OpenSELL the EA will open a SELL trade if the Ask goes below this line.

In both cases the line will be deleted, allowing you the opportunity to place a new line as a new instruction.

If you place the LOTS you want to open in the line DESCRIPTION, the EA will open the order in the required direction, with the lot size specified in DESCRIPTION.
If you do not specify a lot size in DESCRIPTION, the the default lot size will be used.

thnx for the modifying the EA but its not working i try to do what you say . under the ea properties
"alow a new trade" is that to be false or true? or maybe im doing it wrong way?

Yes, AllowNewTrades must be set to TRUE.

In order for the EA to open at a line, the line must have a very specific name. To open a BUY trade, you must name the line OpenBUY, and for a sell trade, it must be OpenSELL. Any other names will be ignored by the EA.

The quote errors are from the original EA. I modified it a little bit, so you should not get them as often...

When the EA opened the order, it gave the reason in the Experts tab - can you tell me what it is? It will open a BUY order if BID goes above the line. Then it will write it in the Experts log. If you can not see that it went above, accept that your crim does not show it, but BID was above the line... maybe even 10milliseconds, or long enough for the EA to notice it...

Maybe I should make it so that the bar closes above or below the required bar before the orders are opened. That way you will have much surer proof...

.... and if the EA opened the order, it would have deleted the line, so the line on your screen is NOT the OpenBUY line, OR the order was not opened by the EA...

Look in the Trade tab - is the order comment "CM Hedging"?
