Great system if the mrket in trend but never use it on ranging markets

That's true of most systems ...the great thing about Cornflower is it helps to show the type of market we are in if you are a person who is having a hard time understanding/seeing where things are at , I have seen a few good ideas about markets stuck in a range and going sideways so its not like there are no other option for those times.

Doubletop, the USD/CHF has just retested the whole number around the 12 EMA so hope it plays out your way

Still short @ the moment although I am now expecting this one to fail as the 30 minute ema's are curving up.
Seems the big round number is offering too much support

Unlucky DT. I've haven't thought about using this on 4H, have you done this on that tf before?

I have an order to go short on E/J at 132.29, almost executed; price is currently at 132.28, hopefully it will be opened.

May I ask what time frame your using and S/L please?

Honestly speaking I have not traded Cornflower for a very long time therefore bob_inabottle is your better man with reagards to longer time frames.

All I am doing at the moment is practising for future reference.

Haha thats very kind of you . What I would say is that Cornflower really works with "The trend is your friend" way of thinking so with that in mind longer time frames are good value too. I don't like trading unless the EMA's are set up and we can see the trend... otherwise whats to say its not just bouncing up and down on the spot?

Recently I took some time looking at your 4 hour trades and was very impressed, as you say "the trend is your friend"

I have looked at Cornflower before and had good and bad times with it, as per recent trades posted although these all bit me on the rear!

Two more for today so lets see what transpires,

Some big (scary?) gaps on charts today, the normal way of thinking with a gap is that the market will close it and resume normal trading conditions... so far we are not seeing that at all. just to highlight things I have a chart of the AUS/USD that doubletop has a trade on at the moment. doubletop are you taking your entry once a candle closes then placing a pending order above/below that candle?

Thanks for the help and question bob_inabottle.

I am trying to take trades based on the bounce of established ema's, for example the aususd trade I would of liked to of entered on the close of 3 candles back on the hourly chart.

Therefore the ideal entry on my criteria would be @ 0.9333

just adding my two cents.new member.i've been trading 7 years at a loss and never trusted a system after blowing yet another account.i've just put on my first cornflower trade and am up.my problem in the past was fitting stops.i'm confident with this system.am on eur/usd to see what happens.i do still have trouble reading bb as on the five minute tf therefore will prob just stick with the straightforward 1h or m30.if your interested i'll try other pairs and let you know.cheers.pikk132
