It's absolutely sickening that the market dances to the tune of "Taper NoTaper".

What ever happened to the days when the markets moved based on the underlying macroeconomic fundamentals?

It's high time the Fed put its tit back in it's bra and let baby market fend for itself.

I have been an active market participant for about 6 years now (and 4 years as an intern before that, in "observer" status)... I dont recall a time in my (short) career where I have seen such a thing...

... the market seems to run on the latest "fad" whatever it may be (currently taper/no-taper)...

True there is always a driving force for sentiment (fad), but I have never seen it come to the point of pumping up the equity markets based solely on breast feeding by the Fed. It may have happened before my time (12 years as a trader and another 8 as an enthusiast), but since the 2008 crisis, everything is upside down and I'm getting sick of it.

yea, i think you are totally right

I "graduated" at right as bear's first hedge fund blew up, and 14 months later the world fell apart, so I was born into a crisis...

so, maybe I have a dysfunctional personality as a result of this,

i look for risk where there isnt any...
