Convert .ex4 indicator to .mq4

Is it possible to convert a .ex4 indicator to .mq4 ind?. The ind was programmed for 4 digit broker and I need make few changes to the code to start working the way I want. What are the process please? Thanks

You will have to ask the permission of the author of the ex4 file.

It's possible but there may be ethical copyright issues which may get you banned from this forum. The author may have had a reason for not making the mq4 file available in the public domain.

Like the previous poster suggested, you should ask the original author's permission. Or maybe you could consider learning how to code yourself.

The ind is an old stuff I bought with almost 100usd and the author has disappeared. He said then we are free to make edit to the code. I can't find the .mq4 format anymore.

upload the indicator that you have, if it is an old one, maybe there is a similar indicator that has the mq4 file.

Anyone knows .mq4 and .ex4 which runs faster? .ex4 is "compiled" so faster than .mq4 (interupted)?

only the ex4 compiled version can be run, therefore there are infinitely faster than running an mq4

As far as I know, MT4 uses the ex4 file to run the code to initiate all the functions of the indicator, script or EA. MT4 must have this file to run the code.
The mq4 file is not really required by MT4, this file format is for the programmer to code the indicator, script or EA, which Mt4 then will produce the ex4 file when you "compile" the code.
This is done automatically when Mt4 is started, this why when you import a new ex4 or mq4 file you need to re-start MT4.

There is no faster than here, ex4 file is the machine code, mq4 file is the programmers code.

i have ex4 files saved but had to se windows repair on my pc now tey dont work, they appear and the marke claims i have them but they dont do anyting, how d i fix this? some of the aret offered n mq5 anymore so i cant just delete them nd reinstall
