I use elliott, fib, candlesticks, supply/demand, popular patterns and moving averages, and then I confirm turning points with divergence by using MacD and RSX. So far it works very well for me on higher time frames. On the lower time frames it is a work in progress because you have to keep in mind all the higher time frames as well (MTFA).

Aha. A wolfe wave is a EW ending diagonal.

This is why it is difficult to trade in August and December.
One big trader with a big order screws up your technical calls.
The max before more down was supposed to be 3325 with an extension to 3333 max.
Now we have made it to 3345.

Give me higher time frames any time.

So now the count has changed. Wave 5 of 5 was truncated and we are now starting an impulse A of abc correction of the entire fall from Tuesday high.
I cannot project the possible upside until wave b is complete

There is a possibility that what I believed was wave 5, may have been wave 3 of the entire drop and we are now starting wave 4.
Still as above, I cannot project where wave 5 will take us until wave 4 is complete. But it is more likely that we have already finished wave 5. This is why wave 3 is the only wave one should trade for lower risk.

reason for the bounce. I was so busy posting here, I forgot about the news...

Weekly jobless claims rise more than expected to 336,000

So this caused another short covering. My guess is it continues down soon as more sellers will fade this move now. Of course it is only a guess
