The long is a partial hedge coz my leverage was a tad high from stubbornly hanging on to my long term shorts. In other words, I am still net short this pair and don't mind losing 3% to gain 6%

same here - yesterday I realized, that I had accumulated a nice chunk of shorts in GU and EU. Thus I closed some yesterday evening as reported (and I am crying silently, still)
